Popular Post CarolsHusband
Fashionably late, this is what I was doing when it was slightly warmer than it is now. The Vintage Hot Rod Association holds an annual speed trial for pre-1949 vehicles at Pendine Sands, a 7 mile stretch of low tide smoothness in South wales. Top speed this year was 116 mph over the measured mile, pretty scary on wet sand and cross plies. I went up on the Sunday, a couple of mates were running cars that I had helped build. Poured with rain on the 3 hour drive down but the sun shone soon after. Bonnets were a new thing for 2015, a riveted fan blade let go last year and gave some folks a bit of a fright ! Hope you enjoy. Two new cars on the way for next year, it's already fully booked but I've got a ticket so all's well Cheers, Dan.

CarolsHusband
Way cool - thanks for the pics. Which ones did you have a hand in? Oops, didn't post a pic of either ! Daves Model T Coupe on an A chassis with a four banger and rod brakes. He managed 53 MPH which was pretty brave considering he hadn't actually driven the thing before. He's building a 32 Pickup with a 383 and a 9 Inch for next time. Steves Model A Sedan, Flathead V8, basically stock apart from juice brakes, dropped front axle and the chop. He ran 78 MPH. He's building a single seat T modified with a straight six GMC and a 4-Speed next. Cheers, Dan
