Engines not getting any spark Power is getting to the both sides of the resistor and the coil Power is also getting to the earth wire that runs to the dizzy Points are opening fine... I chucked a test light in between the coil and the dizzy lead expecting the light to flash as i turned the motor over....it didn't so i replaced the coil and still nothing also grounded the dizzy lead and manually opened the points to discharge the coil expecting to see a jump...it didnt am i missing something obvious? Benno
Could be the condenser, would be my pick as sounds like everything else is working

SunnyCoupe
Replacing the condensor worked for me when I had the same problem with my 2k. Also check inside the dizzy for a broken set contact - Easy to miss and they do go ping given its just a thin bit of metal being bent backward and forth for 35 years. bogangeof
Replace points and condenser, also make sure your condenser/wire isn't earthing out. "Power is also getting to the earth wire that runs to the dizzy" -earths shouldn't have power.
