Banga
Swapped from a standard cortina loom to a GT job by this morning, replaced a couple of dodgy sections (twisted, soldered and heat shrinked) and replaced a bit of speaker wire that was being used on the electric fuel pump. Battery was a bit flat so had to jump start it, but it after it was all good. All lights, switches etc worked as they were ment to other than the left indicator that had a blown bulb. Car ran for 10 mins and then went for lunch. After lunch it was completely dead, not even jump starting it would do the trick or even run the fuel bump. I'm going to charge the battery but I don't think it was completely flat anyway, was still putting out 12 volts. I've checked the earths etc and there don't seem to be any melted wires, any ideas what I should look into next!?
Threeonthetree
Putting out 12 Volts when the engine was running or when you tested the battery on its own?
Banga
Tested after I couldn't get it running, still in the car but not running.
tortron
Is there power coming out of the Ign switch. Probably going to be a case of working backwards through the system (i had a fun one the other day, ign lamp would only come on when the ign was switched off haha)
