Lump
Hi Guys I was just wondering if there was any way of testing alloy wheels that have been in an accident see below Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us Is it worth having them x ray checked (if that can be done in CHCH) or are they just scrap? fuel
looks like the tyre has taken the force of the impact. I would chuck them on a wheel balance machine and check they are still running straight and true. Check for kinks and buckles and also cracks around the edge of the lips. Otherwise there wouldn't be much else to check.
EvoBilly
^^^^ what he said just give them a good clean in most cases you can see some impact stress marks in the alloy a spin on a balance machine will show if there tru and round still if there not then i would be worried
