NVMPAJ
Been swatting up on your info , it's all great stuff.I posted a bit of info on the projects forum. Is it me or is posting pics too hard to do.I got my 1UZ onto a stand and worked out what wires turned the beast over ..........a great feeling really , looking forward to hearing it actually run. Your thread is fantastic lots to read but in the end it makes everything seem easy ,it all comes down to common sense .

NVMPAJ
I'm glad I printed everything cos the new forum won't open the links . One of the bits you had referred to being able to drive a four cylinder tachometer from one igniter ......bloody brilliant
NVMPAJ
Have been looking at the diagram (96 Lexus) for the V8 , I'm wondering would you reckon make up a main efi relay (3 relays driven by the ECU ) or just drive one relay for the pump (maybe the efi relay) from the ECU . ALI1UZLUX0
Brilliant write up. I am in the process of building a 1UZ / W57 manual 2WD Hilux single cab. I have an LS400 UCF11 motor with uncut loom, but am missing the one of the 26 pin loom plugs (UCF11 plug B ) I found out today in an attempt to find 4th plug that AE92 16V small port 4AGZE ECU 26 (UCF11 plug D) / 16 (UCF11 plug C) / 22 (UCF11 plug A) pin plugs fit the UCF11 ECU, and the other the 26 pin plug (UCF11 plug B ) on the UCF11 is the same pin config as the other 1st 26pin plug (UCF11 plug D), but the plug locating guides have to be manipulated to make it slide in and connect, basically you have to delete some of the guides on the plug and it will work( and then not mix the 2 up as now they will accept either D or B socket) I'm going through the process matching up the pins so I can delete what I don't need for the manual conversion and I have a couple of questions, My Hilux has power steering, motor didn't come with P/S pump but I have added one to it. The power steering idle up solenoid on the bottom of the P/S..... where does this connect to? does it go to AC? Also, I can't find a cross reference for the following, as to work out if they are core, not core, used or if I can delete. Veight.com, UCF11 plug A. Pin 7 - CC2 in daig box / CAT overheat sensor - not present on my loom? UCF11 plug B, Pin 3 OD2 Pin 20 KD no idea UCF11 plug C, Pin 4 VF1 Not sure about these Pin 12 VF2 Not sure about these Pin 15 G- (i take it its G1-) UCF11 plug D, Pin 18 TT (dash diag box) Not sure about this one TE1 TE1 is the diagnostic switch in the ECU, earth this out and the ECU goes into diagnostic mode, - just that put that on a switch yeah? Could I get a hand with those please?

NVMPAJ
Have just discovered the 28 pin plug is missing , the joys of an 'uncut' loom so the plug is somewhere in Japan on a car somewhere behind the glovebox .theres only four wires that look important so I'm thinking I can just solder some tails on to the pins. Unless I call into pick apart and see if theres a matching plug .

NVMPAJ
yeah should be fine . But I count four .............although I have become permanently cross eyed following wires on the diagrams!!!

NVMPAJ
The ones that I count are IGSW , BATT, +B ,and MREL for the 28 pin plug , or am I missing something ..........which wouldn't surprise me

ALI1UZLUX0
Am I reading this right, you can delete the diagnostic plug/socket and the IG- port on the LHS front of the manifold completely, and just rely on the check engine light? I have never seen a check engine light in action.... How do you work out what code it is when it flashes? Thats the bit I don't get? Does it actually flash the number eg, code 56, so flashed 56 times?

ALI1UZLUX0
Ok, I get the check light operation now. Thanks. Is there a diagram for diagnostic plugs available? As on my UCF11 ECU loom, there were 2 separate plugs other that the 26, 16, 22 & 26 main plugs. I have deleted them, but a fair chunk of the wiring from one of these plugs when to the diagnostic socket. Also, I traced STA wire to cold start injector and ecu temp sender. I was going to splice into existing starter Black/white on vehicle.... Or is it a better idea to start from scratch from key barrel with 80amp relay?
