ms53_wagon
Ive seen something related to this before but could not find it through the search....? I have just put a new 4age into my GT ae82. Started it this morning and im in the process of setting the timing (should have finished but my timing light is shitting itself). when the engine got a little warmer the idle started bouncing up and down from about 1500-2500 revs..just continuously bouncing up and down........ Any body had this problem before? Cheers
QCADTA
started with the basics like a vacuum leak?
kpr
yeh is either idling too fast, vac leak, adjusted wrong or cold start not working. or tps is bung. if idles too fast ecu will cut the revs

Simon
Na try all the vac lines by the throttle body. Block them with your finger. Could be TPS though. Got slightly mashed when removing. But try that last as they are a pain to swap over and set up.
ms53_wagon
got it sorted, not exactly sure how though.....so it might come back? Just double checked the vac lines and made sure all plugs were tight etc.... I used the TPS from the original engine as your one (simon) did look a little mashed, plus everything was working mint on my engine (idle etc etc) so may as well stay with what ya know haha.
