felixx
Hi there I have a 105e, I got her for $500 on my 16th birthday ('91) She is original, 997cc of goodness. She was taken off the road in 02 and will be sitting her WOF in the next few weeks. (Reg is on hold). My plans are a respray, new carpets, some period bucket seats a different carb (prob a weber 2 barrel) and some extractors and I have an exhaust system with 2 cherry bombs waiting to go in when I get the extractors (springtime due to $$) Cheers Felixx Edited March 21, 2021 by felixx Sold to Anton
felixx
I followed you fella's advice and got the overspray off the windows. Cleaned the inside of the windows too.. wow You can see thru em! I also put a NOS chrome locking fuel cap on it. Awesomeness! ordered 5mm spacers for the front as the 165/60s are rubbing on the struts
felixx
A big thankyou to Valiant, who came round 3 times to sort my brakes. He even remade a small section of brakeline (as that was the problem). What an allround good bloke! Thanks Pete! I gave the old girl a bit of a wipe down on the inside (something I have never done before and was pleased as punch with the state of the interior. The seatbelt in the back (after market) even has an eye to put the wee mans carseat in it. So weekend missions with my son will be the go ASAP! felixx
Interesting weekend. I got the old degreaser out and a jet nozzle for the hose.. Got a lot of lumps of oily crud ouf from under the car. I also gave the motor a good dose with the same stuff. ($20 for 8l at supercheap). Painted the oilfiltercover and reinstalled Gave the enginebay a good going over with a scrubbing brush and hot water. I ordered a new rockercover gasket, so I can remove the rocker cover and paint that. I also polished the chrome hubcaps and wheel trims. I even polished the bumper. Pics to come. felixx
An epic day today! got myself this! It will look a bit like this on the car: (but will have the side clips and suction cups on it) I also got these: well not the cat. here is a better pic.. an original rear view mirror AND a real tidy heater, I only want the heater for the motor, however it is so mint, real tidy core etc I might just bang it in. (it is a little different to mine though..
felixx
I pulled the old heater last night to swap the motor from the new one over (doesnt fit). So reassembled both heaters and left them both on the bench. Went into the garage this morning to get something and it smelt ... bad. Had a look around and found this... WHY DO THE CAR GODS HATE ME??????

felixx
Well I took my young fella to the zoo today. Mailbox was full of shit as I left. I emptied it, 3 cheques from EQC.. gold. Zoo is 5 min drive from my house, got to zoo, letters were soaked. Water leaking from heater. Morale of the story. Dont install heater after beers. I forgot to put a jubilee clip / hose clamp on one of the heater hoses entering the heater. Been teaching wee fella how to drive:
felixx
No updates for 6 weeks! Been some ups n downs. 1) Heater stopped working again! I will sort this soon 2) 'Rebuilt' the cracked and perished rear window seals with black windscreen glue 3) Purchased some widened steel rims for her. Here are the rims, they need some love. Here are my std rims I will get the tyres removed, sand blast em. Should I powdercoat or paint em? Also I blew them up and 2 dont hold air, I waterblasted em and noticed some air leaking around the beads. This may be the tyres, as they are old. What can i do to tidy the bead surfaces to stop them leaking? Cheers Glenn
felixx
Rims are getting powdercoated. Should be ready next friday. Went for a dark metallic grey/ silver. Front brake shoes should be ready in the morning. I hope mrs Felixx has no jobs for me so I can get em and fit em for the meet tomorrow. I also noticed that the front tyres are wearing on the outside edges. So I turned my outer tie rod ends in a turn to counteract this. Might pay someone for a wheel alignment. Anyone got any 175/ 60/ R13s lying around in chch? I could do with 2.
