rawismore
Some grinding scraping noises have emerged from the back left of my mk2 escort this past week. more noticeable when turning right. These are a pressed fit item correct? wheres a good place in central auckland to get done? bit of a mission pressing yourself correct? Mr. Mainstream
check rear diff has oil, could be the case. if it is wheel bearing they cost next to fuck all for them and to fit at any coherent workshop in auckland id imagine
rawismore
havent checked diff oil but i suspect the bearing is the case, has a rather loud and metal on metal knocking noise when hitting a bump with the back left wheel
Hemi
sure its not the shock or spring bushes being fucked?? , or somthing loose in the boot , reason i say this is because wheel bearings tend to make more wop wop or rumbling sounds. have you checked for play at all?? Unclejake
Agreed. It doesn't sound like a bearing to me either, but get someone to check it out.
