ThePog
So I need to replace the front control arms on my car as the ball joints are a bit dodgy... you need to replace the whole arm or get someone like HBI Engineering to redo them, which costs a good chunk of money... I have bought a spare set of arms which I was going to get HBI to rebuild but they actually seem to be in pretty good condition, and they look like they have either been painted/rebuilt or have been recently replaced - who knows really.. So anyway, I have checked both by trying to lever the socket out of the arm with a crowbar, both have no discernible movement when doing this. Is there a better/more accurate gauge of the condition? Thanks...
peteretep
Fit them and check for play, if there's none then leave as is? I think it's pretty hard to test them out of the car due to how they are loaded up when fitted
fulloc
sounds like the best bet
