rob.121
Wanting to know what the go when swapping a gearbox that uses a cable operated clutch into a vehicle that uses a hydraulic operated clutch? would the norm be to modify the clutch setup to suit a cable or somehow convert the gearbox to suit hydro set up? gearbox is a 5speed holden (v6 vn/vp commodore vintage) any advice appreciated cheers
My name is Russell
Im not familiar with this car at all but one thing that i could think of that may be an issue is the direction the paddle moves? A cable pulls and a hydraulic clutch pushes, but hey you can make anything work . Thats just one small thing i noticed when i was deciding between the two on my rx seven box. Ke36
usual option is to make your car suit the hydraulic clutch of the gearbox you are putting in thats what i would be doing especially if it is any sort of performace application
eke_zetec_RWD
you can get hydrolic slave clyinders that pull and can be used in place of a cable
