Mint69
the tank in my mk2 has the circular bump but doesnt have anything exposed on the top like that its just metal on top. my dad also used to have a mk2 so will ask him if he knows what it would be for. Yowzer
Possibly a breather hole, allows air into the tank as the fuel level drops.

- i5oogt -
a mk2 tank will fit in a mk1... it will give it better capacity. also mk1 tank has alot narrower filler neck than a mk2. pretty sure that wee plastic disk is a breather... some cars have tanks with them some without.... Manda
I may have a spare tank joelybaby. Its from a mk2 Cant be breather hole coz no air can get in.
