OSM Garage
Anyone know? Its some sort of silicony oil stuff. Anyone know for sure what it is? Can it be purchased over the counter? My gauge has leaked, and i got quoted $88 to get it filled again. Thought that was abit extreme. But mite be the only way, unless someone can help me??????? thminiman
that $88 likely includes it getting re calibrated
isnowi
It's silicon dashpot oil, similar to what is used in some electrical overloads etc, and it's as dear as poison, and very hard to find. I ordered 500 ml of the stuff and is was over $100.
OSM Garage
OUCH! So $88 is a deal huh?
isnowi
It depends on what the gauges are worth to you i geuss. I would imagine even refilling them is a pretty fiddly job, and as previously mentioned they might recalibrate them too. As a point of note most of the liquid filled gauges have a pretty hefty price tag in the first place. Cheers
