Shock Angles

So I have a question,

Im look at converting comething to IRS, but dont want to mount the shock obsorbers upright due to restrictions in the cabin.\

So if I monted them on a pretty extreme angle, say close to 60 degrees, is this going to allow them to operate effectialntly

Also, I assume I would need to run gas shocks? as oil would sink to one side more?

Anythoughts

Chevettes do also and its shit. Works ok when they are high because they are on an ok angle, perhaps around 45° but as soon as you lower them the angle increases and the shocks cease to be of any use. People (and myself) go to a lot of effort turreting the rear of chevettes to eliminate the shallow angle of the shocks and I wouldn't recommend a setup like that if you have an option.

ga is there to stop the oil from foaming

oil is free to slosh around as it seas fit...just not get air bubbles

you can get shocks that can run on there sides........ for like camed suspension

but yeah al come online and hit me up niggs im sure we can sort that shit

Early Mk1 escorts and im sure alot of other cars run em at a 45°

Doesn't make them pleasanter to drive though. You can actually feel the back end shunted diagonally when the loads come off the relevant corner. Hope this won't happen with an IRS setup though!!!
