lowlancer
Sigma won't crank. Checked the battery, will crank the starter if I spark the solenoid manually. Have checked with test light the CRANK wire, no signal coming. I've tested the test light on RUN off the - side of the coil and it;s sweet. I've checked the wiring about 5 times, I cannot see what the fuck is causing this. Is there some magic fuse somewhere between the ignition barrell and the solenoid? Basically, just no CRANK signal coming, what does it earth on?
johnnyfive
Earth = engine through starter should just be 12v signal from key switch to solenoid. I say run your own dodgyness push button/touch random wires together as a temp fix. Can't have the car not going.
lowlancer
Yuh, am going to buy a push start button thing tomorrow. Got it going by shorting starter. Took it for a massive cane
Burntrubber
On some cars there's a relay between the key and the solenoid obviously if its poked it wont go.
Jonny
On my scort if the solenoid wasnt bolted down it wouldnt earth properly and wouldnt crank over, is it inertia or pre engaged?
