two_days_late
Eagle F1's are pretty expensive though right? Anyone know how wide these TSWs i just brought will be and how wider tyres you think i'll get on them? What kinda price will i be lookin at for some (cheapish) 40 or 45s? at least 205. Cheers
treggo
I'm pretty sure you won't find a tire that low in profile that wide. Or, you will be spending mega bucks.

Gaz
I just brought two 195/45/15 Winalis of that dude. Great service and by the looks a fucking mint tyre. Has a high speed rating and the tyre tread pattern is very similar to the Eagle F1's. Ya wont find cheaper tyres, I compared his prices to my mates cost price from Toyota and a mates gov prices at baurepairs. I got his email if ya want it? Can just see tyre pattenr in that pic. Shit pics in the dark. Also as mentioned above somewhere Toyo do a mint as 205/40/
treggo
For around the same price you can get some 195/45/15 federal tires too.
Gaz
^^ Where from, i was quoted $130 each for them.. that is balanced and fitted tho. Guess it depends if you can fit/balance them for free or not. The 15inch Wanali's are rated V speed rating which is pretty good. 18's are Z which is 300kmph so perhaps 16/17 are better again than V. Not that its very often/ever ya travel over that.
two_days_late
215/40 16 for $90 sounds pretty good but i take it thats a pretty cheapo tyre? at least they're out there anyway. How wide do you think i could go on those TSW Apex's? I might grab that dudes email methodz, will see what the tyres on the mags are like for now though. might do for a while. awsome, wanna get this car goin! Gaz
My 15 TSW apex are 6.5 wide. So Id guess the same for yours. Anything over 205 is going to lookmega balloon. Id go 195/45/16 If I was you. As for the tyres being cheapo's, im not entirely sure that is true, they look, feel and have a good rating (not that that says fuck all) Im sure they arnt the wrolds best tyre but I think they are better than the other cheapo fedrals etc.. The rerason they are cheap is he is importing from China for cheap as. We have massive markup on our tyres(/all car parts) here in NZ. Give me a few weeks and Ill tell you what i think of them. two_days_late
true, so you think even 205's will be too wide? cheers bro
Gaz
Nah 205s would be ok, As wide as I would go on them tho. Check my project thread on my escort, its got pics of a 195/50/15 on a 6.5 rim the same. Could give vauge idea of what they look like. ive gone to 195/45 thjis time. two_days_late
Wheels arrived today, pretty good condition might just need a paint. Tyres are 205/45s Bridgestone ZR Directionals and all look pretty warrantable to me, so im happy with that.
