peteretep
Can someone post up some pics of different escort seats and their rails, people often talk about putting aftermarket seats onto the original rails. I know my seats dont have rails so I'd like to see some which do, see if they can adapted to my car or anything
Gaz
Just use the seat rails that come with the new seat and make custom mounting points. Pretty much what ya have to do for the mk1's.

Gaz
Ill take some pics one day this week. Its pretty bloody simple. Remember all seats from diff cars will be differant but basically youll need to: Get a peice of right angle plate and weld/bolt the two fronts of the new seat rails to this. This will go across the car and the front face bolt into original mk1 escort seat holes. (threaded in that box type hump at front of seats. Now get some spacers (I used round alluminium type shit) and get all the levels of the seat right. Drill a decent size hole through the floor. You will need to read the LTSA page to make sure you use all the right size plates and fixings to get a cert. From memory its a 50mmx50mm 3mm plate with rounded off edges under the floor where the new ancorage points come through. That plate also has to be fixed to the car so it cant fall off. (I used 4 rivets). The nut on the bottom of this plate must also be welded to the plate so it cant come unwound or whatever. Simple as that. Guest WESTCORT
i got rs legacy seats in my eski, was real easy to put them in, got steel from an engineers, drilled it and put bolts thru for original legacy mounts and then drilled so the original escort bolts go thru to orginal points. they are a tight fit tho, against the tunnel and the sill cause they are so wide haha, mean seats tho, nice bucket and kept original rails so they are adjustable etc.

peteretep
had racepro buckies on standard escort rails and normal racepro brackets and they went straight in no welding no nothing piece of piss ...of no help at all, my seats have inbuilt rails that are integral to the seat ie cant seperate them, I want a pic of what your rails look like. fool
peteretep
this is what I have to work with, I think I might copy what htwn escort did but put it forward over the rail, so I get more room to get into the back. So that my seat is normally sitting quite far back in the rails to give more for people to get in
