Gaz
Anything I need to know before buying adjustable cam gear? Was going to buy Quaife as I just assume these are quality. I could be wrong. Anyone with experience care to coment? Also where to buy them, was just going to go through Palmside but again, someone may know better. http://www.palmside.co.nz/parts.asp?mak ... ory=ENGINE

Gaz
Sweet so there is nothing really to know then. Just an adjustable cam gear is an adjustable cam gear. No worries abut how adjustable or anything like that?
Raizer
Keep to a good brand and you'l be sweet. Someone like Quaife will defintly be alot more likely than a real cheepo brand to be accurite.

Jonny
How do they actually work? Change lift? or duration? or something else?
Raizer
Lets you adjust the timing, the outer pully turns letting you set it where you want.
Gaz
As above. Instead of tooth by tooth on the belt you can increase it more easily and accuratly with cam gear. Good idea when using aftermarket cams on any car.
Jonny
Adjusting to suit? So its different timing to adjusting the dizzy, like changes when the valves open and close vs. piston movement?
