rusty260z
Was thinking of getting twin side drafts for the Bellett, are there any down side, i mainly do city driving max of 15km to work one way, Does it require running on choke longer in the mornings etc, not to fussed about fuel comsuption, as long as reasonable for car age, etc, more concerned about practicability. any suggestion what type to get, or if i should get another type of carb or just rebuild current one. thanks. Gaz
Twin 40s will use a fark load more gas than you use now. If tuned right they would idle better than the average sigle carb. I was surprides how well first time. They do need retuning often as they seem to fall out of sync.
rusty260z
would a "twin barrel" single carb be better for a daliy drive car then,
peteretep
better then single

Gaz
Petrol wise 100% Cost wise of actual unit plus tuning %100 Driveability not much in it if you keep 40s well tuned. For a daily id run a single dual barrel carb.

rusty260z
nah for an isuzu bellett 1500, have feeling the carb is on its last legs
SYKOV6
nah its an isuzu bellet i think, twin side draughts would be next to useless on a stock type engine. thjey would pour so much fuel down its throat that it would prolly wash the bores and start it smoking they would have to b jetted right back prolly so much that a single 2 barrel carb such as a escort type weber would be heaps better. u really need more comp, bigger cam , ported head. to take advantage of the extra air/fuel flow that the siddies would give
