Dicey Posted January 28, 2006 Share Posted January 28, 2006 Hey I was wondering if anybody knows what springs fit in an ex lancer (Front and Rear) so that it will looked sacked as shit but will stil be all legal (i've herd that nissan sentra front super lows fit into an ex just wondering if its true?) rxtoy Posted January 28, 2006 Share Posted January 28, 2006 technically you can't use springs from another car and have it legal without a cert, aftermarket springs have to be made specifically for that car for it to be wofable without a cert. i've heard rumours of using front mk2 escort springs for the rear but only over the net so i can't confirm that they work. seriously if you really want to sack it out its either going to be illegal or its not going to be cheap. you can count on buying springs and a minimum of shortening your front shocks and buying shorter rear shocks. i had my stock lancer springs compressed 3 inches and have new kyb's in the front that have been shortened 25mm and 1st generation mirage shocks in the back (require a minor modification to fit but pretty easy to do). the front handles surprisingly well but there's not a lot of travel in the back and its a pretty bumpy ride back there. next time i'd definitly do the rear end differently. if you want pics to see how my lancer looks this low there's some up in the projects section. all of this stuff will require certification but i'm going to need that for the engine swap anyway so its not too big a deal for me. hope it helps. TygerTung Posted April 2, 2006 Share Posted April 2, 2006 Change the front subframe to sigma, put in the cut sigma springs front and rear, paint them red, use cordia/tredia shocks, just have to shorten the tube at the top slightly, easy with an angle grinder, and paint the springs red, with shortened shocks at the front, they coppas will never know.
