When bolting a sierra 5 speed to a cortina 2ltr pinto, what flywheel/clutch/presure plate should I use? Im guessing all cortina stuff? I also read that you can use the Escort auto prop with the sierra box and it just bolts up? But they didnt say what engine they had, Im guessing an Xflow, would it still work with the pinto? I'm pretty sure the clutch kit is the same between cortinas and sierras anyway. If it isn't then it'd just be the release bearing that'd be different. esky boi Posted October 26, 2005 Share Posted October 26, 2005 Pretty sure both clutches are the same.. APART from the release bearing. The cortina one is slightly thinner than the seirra one, which means that the clutch wont engage fully So yea dont make the same mistake I did haha, make sure you use a sierra release bearing. It might be worth comparing the Cortina one to the Sierra one then you can let us know for sure whats different.
