Guest la1963
I have a GT1300 (4dr) and I want to flare the guards to fit better rubber. Has anyone sectioned the rear flares before??????
davidian
how wide rubber you wanna go? the usual (read :cheap) go is to hammer up the inside lip on the guard and seal it or the usual, bat/bottle/large socket on the tyre and get your mate to sit on the boot while you push it do a search, the boys were talking bout it not long ago
Guest la1963
I have the bubble arches or forest flares. I have the 2l sierra, webbers and Type 9 in, and now I want to flared the guards and put on some 15" alloys and 205 - 215's. But I will have to section the rear flares so that the doors can still be opened and part of the flare opens with the door. I'm learning as I go and have down-loaded heaps of info off the net but have not found any info on a 4 dr.
peteretep
i think it would be very hard to properly flare a 4dr, the back door is so close to the rear arch that it would hard to put gaurds on, even those bolt on ones would be very hard

Gaz
If you have forest flares why do you need to roll the gaurds? im confused.

Guest la1963
Thanks for your advice. I should just go and see a panelbeater that has done some other work for me. You know how it is, I like to pick up some knowledge and hands-on in the process........ Thanks

Bistro
With only 205-215 then I would think that rolling would be sifficient.
