esky boi Posted May 3, 2005 Share Posted May 3, 2005 I have a 2litre cortina motor and the guy I got it off said it had a lumpy cam. So I had a look and it does look lumpier than a standard one... the number on the front of the shaft is FR21. RT Posted May 3, 2005 Share Posted May 3, 2005 yeah thats a Kent bump stick.. but not very bumpy. FR stands for Fast Road and the 21 is a mild version. Great for a bit of an upgrade on an otherwise relatively standard engine, standard valves etc. Good idle and mid-range power. But don't expect wonders, especially if the head hasn't been ported. Pinto's must have a good port to make power. If you were going to run aftermarket goodies like double valves springs, twin carbs etc etc then you'd want a FR31 or 32.
