davidian
hey, just hoping someone can help out... my mk1 has weak brakes, actually i push down HARD on the pedal and it only slowly slows down, never actually locks up or suddenly stops. the pads are mint as well as the shoes, brake lines been bled a few times, i had the original booster and put new rubbers and stuff inside, then replaced it with a mk2 van or wagon booster, but not much change... anyone know a sollution that wont kill my wallet? esky boi
umm, the braking surfaces could be glazed, you should try scuffing them up with some sandpaper or something.... also are the pads/shoes bedded in properly yet? because they never really work properly unless theyre bedded in fully. Another thing, the pads you're using may be too hard, you could try switching to a softer compound i guess.
lowlancer
Yeah I have a harder grade of pads on the celeste, and they're terrible. Bloody dusty too. Have to practically slam the brakes on everytime
