danger Posted December 17, 2004 Share Posted December 17, 2004 hey guys wondering if anyone has a clue bout whats happening inside my poor gearbox. about 2 months ago i got bored of the horrible decelerating noises i was getting and decided to swap my gearbox to a spare i had from a wreck. first i completely dismantled it, cleaned it and replaced the main bearings. at this stage all of the cones and gears looked pretty mint. after putting it back in with new oil it was great. untill today... i found out suddenly that i now dont have to push the gearstick to get to reverse anymore. its still fully driveable but its real easy and embarrassing to push the gearstick into reverse when taking off. anyone have any clues on what its doing and how to fix it?
