RT
you driveshaft hitting the exhaust if it crosses it? or perhaps you axle hitting your exhaust due to weak shocks? Is it coming from under the car of from the engine ?
Guest escort_boy
its from under/ to the bak of the car. ill have a look at those to things tho
Guest Jamezuu
Is it come from one side of the back of the car, could be wheel bearings getting buggerd. Easy to do and about $45 for a kit. More center sound would likely be a universal as more weight in one area of the car would make it run at a different angle which it may not like. Guest escort_boy
any way to tell if it is the universal? like any easy tests
lowlancer
Cortina kid had a similar problem with his cortina, turned out to be an axle bottoming out or the diff scraping on something, or something, result of having buggered shocks
Guest Jamezuu
Grab both sides of the joint, ie the diff flange if possible and the dirveshaft and give them a turn in the opposite way, if theirs play it may be stuffed. Do you get any woble or vibrations in the steering wheel when loaded and unloaded?
esky boi
if it's doing it when there's more people in it, and the noise is coming from the back of the car, then i'd say it's the exhaust hitting the diff or something, probably because of broken or weak mountings. Id check it out aye.
