Pushrod
its's in there alright i think its in the section on rebuilding under valve clearance i think its's 0.25mm exhaust 0.55mm inlet for 1600 escorts But check the manual just to be sure
Toucan
Straight from the haynes manual: Valves Open Valves to adjust 1ex 6in 3in 8ex 2in 4ex 5ex 7in 3in 8ex 1ex 6in 5ex 7in 2in 4ex Valve clearances for all 1100, 1300, 1600 2V engines: inlet 0.010in (0.25mm) exhaust 0.022in (0.55mm) Valve clearances for all other 1100 and 1300 engines: inlet 0.008in (0.20mm) exhaust 0.022in (0.55mm) look at that I even formatted it the same way they did, arent I great
Toucan
oh yea, and i dont know if you guys do it or not, but a little trick ma daddy taught me, when measuring clearances using feeler gauges, go one bigger an one smaller, that way is more accurate. ie the bigger one wont fit under but the smaller one will

BigDave
Open the rocker cover, keep the oil spray bar in place and run the engine. Hold a metal bar or long socket extension upto each rocker (or just yer ears of you cant find owt to press against) and just adjust the top adjuster screw until it goes quiet then turn it back a nads knacker. Sorted, nice and quiet with no feeler gauges! Bloody rough but it does the job!! My first ever proper job on any car was rebuilding the top end of a crossflow motor and its pretty simple if you take yoru time. CheeRS Dave...
