Probably no worse than an Accord a high stall converter would liven it up.
Have had a Type S CL7 Accord a few years back stock it was awesome.
Ive gotta remember I'm 40+ now so I'll 90% of the time just be cruising around so peaky kinda suits my needs lazy normal driving and on boost like a bottle rocket would work.
In that case I vote do it
-
It's cool and all, but what would it be like off boost?

@Roman stop trying to be humble and take our dang money.
I'd say if it were publicised, say on YouTube he might end up with more money than he needs

So long as the current head and valves are okay (find out soon!) Then small blocking it will be a good short term solution.
Which might show some interesting results.
So long as I can find the 2nz specific parts I need, like the shorter timing chain. where ever I put them.
Will need to give the head a pretty decent check for debris in the oil circuit though.
If the head is stuffed then I need to buy a new motor either way.
Been busy but will get it off this coming week.
Can we have prius pistons too please? Does Max Pee Ding do 2nz rods?
@kpr what are your thoughts on a long rod 1.3 with the 1.5 block? Most likely more expensive that what Mr van der Dutch would want to spend?

A bunch of layers with a headgasket between each

How's the tally going Dave, are we in billet block territory yet?

Time for an engine that fits your gearbox with some big boy rods. Mr Glavish did say that bottom ends were expendable

Holy fuck, the custom install Escorts are pricey, but damn they look so much cleaner

N16 pulsar was 4x114 too wasn’t it? Does that help at all?

Speaking of such things. Guess what I saw last week.
A Quest4 built EP82 drag starlet with a 3SGTE.
Car was never finished but the whole front shell came off, but then the whole motor and trans was mounted in such a way you could swap out the whole front.
So they could race it in NA and turbo class just by swapping the front.
Should have grabbed a picture, it was quite cool.Kyrie is a very clever dude. He was talking years ago about building a st202 celica drag car with a Subaru gearbox with a 3sgte hanging off the front of it like the American Pro FWD cars with all their weight out in front of the front axle line.
Pretty sure he's mostly doing production fabrication these days coz companies are much more reliable to deal with than car guys.- 1

Adaptor kits to bolt the g16 motor to a Silvia or 86 gearbox too
So I went down a Daddy Motor Works rabbit hole the other night. He's using a TL70 (gt86 gearbox) which is allegedly the same guts as the Altezza/Silvia/RX8/MX5 gearbox, with conversion bellhousing to suit a Datsun L-series with an adapter plate between the bellhousing and the G16

Hopefully can slam the auto into the crv with minimal effort and sell it on. I'll need to figure out the linkages as the autos are Colum shift and that stuff is welded/mounted to the column
Surely you can buy another CRV with WOF/REG for the column
Failing that they are common as fuck at Zebra/pickapart aren't they?- 1
