I would fill it, sand it, and flock it if I was wanting to do something like this on a budget. Bonus is, it would be consistent with the vibe of your car I think.

Re-covering in vinyl always looks cack IMO, the corners are never as sharp, it never fits properly again as the vinyl adds significant thickness to the part.

It's real, it was going to be over 1k just to do the dash pad on the KP.

Allegedly Amayama have ke70 ones for around $830. Now to work out which part numbers go with which colours

3 - send to dashbooard restorations on the shore, it'll be perfect, but you'll be $2000 lighter in the pocket

Is $2000 an exaggeration or for realsies, I always assumed it would be around $1000 which i was comfortable with, but for $2000 i'd rather get other things for the car

Picked up this 4g93 GDI turbo for a really good price. I guess they are simply not sought after engines. The GDI's were a bit of a disaster really, but the block and crank should be good since it is a clean low km's engine.

Plus handy to have spares and different variations of brackets for alternator/PS pump etc.

The other day when we were cruising around Zebra there were two turbo colts there, I hadn't been so excited about a mitsubishi in a long time. Is this a cedia motor?

It’s a pity it doesn’t log how many times you’ve loosened and tightened the cam caps, that number must be up there?

I got one of these afew years ago, 1.6 with a shitty sensodrive auto manual gearbox. Change up gears is slow but it does the mean chop down gears super fast. I’m not a Citroen Fan but it’s fun to drive. (Shity pic off net not mine)E92ED643-514F-4D80-8DBF-820376CAE477.jpeg.0c5c18452482878b082696eade90308b.jpeg

Is that one of those Toyota-based citroens?

Oddly any variable/adjustable exhaust like the varex ones are illegal in NZ. Unless factory fitted.

At least thats my interpretation of it.

It would be a nice solution, you can buy cheaper exhaust throttle type things that just close a butterfly.

Don't both routings just need to be of legal volume?

If only we had a certifier in this thread somewhere....

The other thing I'm interested in is speakers in the door. Ideally I would hide them, but there isn't room. Not really interested in spacers, so thinking about how to integrate some low profile, speakers and grilles into the doors while still looking ok.

I've been thinking about making an MDF door handle/lower pocket/speaker pod that I can upholster with my doors in my KE70 and try and make it look somewhat OEM

Yeah so the cat converter rules are interesting.
You could have one 2005 car that needs it, and one 2005 car that doesnt.
Because it depends on the year the car was imported.
In my case, no cat converter required.

When's your WOF due? You gonna put it back to standard and get a wof while its apart :P

Haha yeah, I guess that's also assuming you could get that 18psi to ambient air temp.

My solution to the problem, and possibly all problems, is simply to keep revving it higher.

Lets just disregard that this is also the cause of all my problems
