Fuck yeah. Looks so good. I've been wanting to do something along those lines with ours but the missus gets all grumpy and is like waaaaah I don't want you to lower it etc haha. But I get the eye twitch every time I look at it.

Nah was an RB1 so earlier shape. Pretty lol putting recaros in a people mover but was pretty sweet.
-
Yeah that's one of the ones I took for a hoon. I really only wanted it because it had the recaros haha. But the car itself was a bit of a dog.

I have had a CW wagon as a daily for awhile now and its been super reliable so far. Comfortable to drive & look pretty good and don't seem to see many around compared the the similar Mazda6 wagons.
I know the K-series tend to have alot of alternator, starter motor & power steer line issues but haven't struck any as yet and this model is electric steering so one problem avoided there.
No help on the towing side of it but being only available in auto I would at the very least put an external cooler on it. Can also see K Flash NZ for an affordable upgrade ecu flash if needing abit more oomph and nicer A/T shifts & driveability.Damn, what wheels and suspension are you running?

For those looking at Accord wagons, also look at Odyssey Absolute.
You're getting a more spacious Accord and generally a cheaper car, essentially.
Looked at a couple of them. They just aren't as nice. The accords def have a more premium feel to them. I do like the absolutes though. They're about as cool as a people mover can be haha.
-
Here you go @TimShadboltfan27 a wee gem for ya haha. Lowball because they've made it hideous.
I saw this listing you may be interested in: 2008 Honda Accord https://www.trademe.co.nz/3984360807

Okay, nearly there
Current target is a Honda Accord wagon.
2009 2.4L engine:
https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/honda/accord/listing/3988977077?bof=QYzI9LqN2011 2L engine:
https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/honda/accord/listing/3782041821?bof=QYzI9LqNPreference is for the 2.4 because biggerer (and betterer?) even though two years older. Same model it would seem.
Both options will need towbars. Towing duty is infrequent but open road/long Ks.
Anything I need to be wary of & ask about?
And thanks for your help everyone.
Fuck keeping either of them clean haha. Done my dash with dark colored cars. Washed our white one yesterday, been probably 2 months since I washed it last. You'd hardly know if it wasn't for the wheels being caked in brake dust haha.
-
The wagons look soooo much better as well as being more practical.
Can't say I drove a 2.0 one but our k24 hauls along pretty well. The 200hp on paper doesn't equate to a blisteringly fast car as they are pretty heavy, but it's not slow by any means.
-
Shop around, we paid 8k for our accord wagon with 140ks on it. And it's a great car.
My other suggestion (and what was a strong runner up to the accord when we were shopping) is a v6 outlander. The 4 bangers are cvt whereas the v6 got a proper auto. And they go bloody well too.

Your one lucky sob @fuel.
jacked her up and popped the drain bungs put, had to pierce the sound deadening to let water out.
pulled the sill plates off.
lifted the carpet to let air circulate and eventually dry.
checked the tide line, luckily its below the ecu.
no visible signs of electronic damage.
checked oil, turned it over by hand.
no hydrolocking present.
chucked my battery in (yours was dead so was a worry initially).
no noises, no camp fire or fireworks show.
key on, all lights came up, still no sparkles.
turned the key and she fired right up.
exhaust is full of water, so she was a water jet for a bit.
left it running for 15-20min, got the heater up to temp to start the dry out.
have left it with Damien to chuck your battery in and keep it running with the heater on once your battery has life in it.
I removed your floor mats cos they were a sponge.
Oof. The man.

Yeah we've now had the accord a wee while now. It's a fucking great car. We love it. K24 goes hard enough. Handles great, is quiet and comfy.
The only drawbacks I find are for a wagon the boot is a little small for its class. Still a sizeable boot though. Tradeoff for the nice ass end I guess.
It's not super economical. But the way I look at it is that it's a nice solid, safe car with plenty of go. If you're gonna cry about economy go buy a shitbox 1500cvt corolla wagon or something haha.

Fuck they need no more drag. Can barely move under their own power as it is.

I have a Uniden DRF7, mid range priced unit. Its never let me down, been very reliable. You can filter the K bands to avoid false alerts. It also remembers the false spots via gps so learns its route. Picks up cam vans well and knows where all the speed cameras are.
Paid $580 but theyre about $650 now.
Only had a ticket the one time I forgot to grab it..........
I was literally just looking at them haha. Could be a goer.

Bump. Sorta in the market for one of these. Don't wanna spend the earth on one. So looking at the cheaper end of the scale (sub $500).
Anyone know what would be ideal? Those whistler ones seem to be cheap and have reasonably good reviews. I know absolutely nothing about these things. I just want it to go bloop bloop and save me from tickets haha.

Yup goon local available for pickup. Giz a message and we'll tee it up.
