We had a ball to say the very least. But onto the next challenge!

So after leaving Queenstown we had a shorter drive thankfully. Stopped in for a few hours at Bill Richardson transport museum to do some barrying about. Then shot down to Stirling point at Bluff as ya do. Cut some hektik laps of invers that night. According to the local Boys we hung out with, you go between the monument and kfc and literally just lap that up all night. So that's what we did! The next morning we shot off early. Noticed when meeting in the morning the mirages front tyres were fuuuuuucked. Few too many potholes had thrown the alignment out of whack. So driving back up, I managed to buy another set of sacrificial wheels and tyres to get us home to chch. Cut some laps of churchur on sat night and then all us got our old bones to bed before midnight hahaha. Fucking awesome trip though. The cars went great, and so did the weather.

Day 3, left hokitika and headed south. Stopped off in haast for a bloody good feed at the hard antler. Then onwards again to queenstown. Came across a cop stop on the crown range, to which we got a surprisingly good reception. They loved it! Cut some hektik laps through queenstown at night as well. All going perfect so far! The cars and the weather have all played ball. Nice short trip down to invers today!

Day 2, we shot off from Nelson and headed towards Westport. Stopped off for a bite to eat then continued south to Punakaiki and then to hokitika for the night. We were even made famous on the local coasters page

We may have gone a little overboard haha. I think we've all stayed within budget. Or near enough at least.

And of course did a mandatory park up at Tahuna Beach. So far so good. The NX Trans is giving issues. Sometimes it wants to go into overdrive, sometimes it won't. Trans is getting pretty warm so we were up til midnight fitting another Trans cooler to it. Fingers crossed we have more luck today!

Just a 1500 familia. So i believe we're safe with gearbox issues... hopefully. Mirage is a surprisingly un-smokey boi thankfully! I believe it's actually been a semi well maintained vehicle. 220ks on it and it's noice and clean under the freshly painted rocker cover.

We wanted to do the scenic route but it'll just make it an even longer day. Would rather do the catlins when we have more time up our sleeves for serenity stops etc.

Heading back up sat morning. Planning to be in timaz around lunch or just after. Pest around 4nR for a bit then head back to crimechurch so we can cut some hektik laps of the Aves on sat night.

Sup yo. So a group of us are doing another shitbox challenge thing next week. This year, buying and modifying cars for less than 1500 bucks in the theme of the Golden era, aka, early 2000s. So we're off on a roadie in our creations next Tuesday, cutting another lap of the south island. Gonna be staying in Nelson 8th November, hokitika 9th, queenstown 10th and invers on the 11th. Thought it'd be worth a post up here if anyone local wants to come out for a brew and a yarn when we're in each town. Will probs do a really shit park up and cruise in each town for a laugh and to be general pests. 4/5 of the cars we're using. And there's an EK civic hatch as well. Come hang!
