  1. The Saddle Road isn't too bad to drive! Tis a shame, always good exposure for OS and finding newcomers, not so fun when they circle around themselves
  2. I'll be there! Can someone make a private facey event? Is rather convenient for reminders
  3. 253 people going and I know 7. Would be nice for a bit of an OS cruise!
  4. Hahaha wait whaaat, how does that even work! Hard park at the car wash then roll on ovee
  5. Anyone keen on a pre-event meet up for a convoy to the park Up?

  11. Palmside definitely are the biz for that stuff! Will definitely be getting in contact with them for advice and whatnot Will be probably going wilwoods for the brakes. Not too sure about diff - lsd for sure though
  12. I feel like me replying is like being very late to my own party! Have learnt to love the little pimp limp it has to the right - once the big build gets underway it shall hopefully be no more!
  13. Discussion link as my sig has gone //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/31026-joshs-76-escorrt/page-4#entry1400026 Another year older - another wiser(?) Getting some things actually on paper about the build to make sure it happens! Now with a wicked full time job to help accomodate the hardest part of the build - time to get into it! New direction for the Escort: SR20DET S15 5 speed Bilstein adjustable coilovers /camber plates Adjustable rear shocks and as low as possible in the back Drop tank+ surge Wilwood 4pots 3" straight exhaust 14/15" widened steels Unsure what to do with diff Pretty flexible about most of it though - will be needing a bit of help with suspension and braking but the oldschool community rocks so have no fear about that Please let me know opinions/better, best ways to do things - I appreciate all feedback!
  14. i feel like this thread is missing my favourite photo of my car - wicked day and thanks dad for the roof racks!
  15. After an extended period of problem free driving, shit hit the fan all at once. Gave it our best shot to figure out the problems: Being unable to turn the idle or mixture screws down, mixed with a sticky throttle, turned out we found a split after the carb causing a vacumn leak. But that was the limit of our knowledge. Took it to Roskilda Autos and within 4 hours he had a list of faults and repairs. The list included: Vacumn leak, Bad points, Condenser replaced A few hoses replaced Alternator connections replaced He also rejetted the carburettor to only run single carb until it hits a certain rev range then kicks in the second for maximum fuel efficiency. Have been told to only run 95/98 fuel as it is completely racecar-spec :lol Idle and mixture have been professionally tunes Being "Roskilda Auto LTD - DYNO Tuning Specialists" he put it on and it ran a nice 80hp / 5,500RPM $$$ later and She's got her umph and lumpy idle back Decided for a little change in plans, if anyone has any Rostyles with some rubber on them, shortened shocks and springs for the front, pm me and we can talk!
  16. Looks like it could be a good beach cruiser for the summer, couch in the back and all. What are your plans for it?
  17. Should've quoted it from my parents! I think they were referring to me havig a 1600 RWD to it being FWD!

  19. Discussion: //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/36341-joshs-76-1100-clubman/ As my sister's 16th birthday is coming up means it's just about time for her to get her learners (lol amost had my full by now!) The criteria for her car was pretty much: - Something that doesn't cost a small fortune to fill - Something she can't get into any trouble in. Found this on the Tard, picked it up from Bulls and brought it home on a trailer, no wof, reg on hold. Pretty good condition seeing as it hasn't been on the go since '08 Both OS cars begin with H, and are both '76s, which is lucky (I think) as we live at number 76! Will replace with better photos when the sun comes up! To do list as it stands: -Clutch + Brakes need bleeding - Wheel bearing needs replacing - General tidy up of interior, pretty mint other than the cobwebs and dust! - WOF/REG
  20. Small update on the plans: Unfortunately with the Old Man receiving bad news (hopefully good with good outcome) the conversion will be put on hold if I can't get my A into G by mid feb, he'll be in crutches for atleast 6 months. We have eyed up another.. MINIature project to do up for my sister's first car, which looks like it'll be a goer while the Escort goes into project-hiatus. ^In relation to the right limp it has, would swapping the leaves L/R help it out? Or am I doomed to look like a fatass while driving down the road with it slanting on my side!? Edit: Added \/ It has been decided time and time again that the Escort is Steve the Cat's favourite ride, often joining me on a local drive! Also a recent slightly artistic photo of how much better it's sitting!
