  1. Got the well side back on now after tidying up the fuel pump and gauge sender unit wiring, also bleed up the brakes after pissing fluid everywhere as one of the seals was cocked over from out of the box, sorted that and now they have bleed up and feel ok hoping they work all good with the master cylinder as it did have discs on the front and had a tandem master replacing the single and now i have gone back to drums. finished the battery box set-up tonight it was mounted behind the seat in the cab running a motor bike bat but i didn't really like it and would rather have a decent grunty battery. I have mounted it on the passenger side at the front in the deck in one of those plastic battery boxes. used a plastic gland where the cable came up through the deck put some rubber in there to help stop bat slipping around got the starter motor in and wired up also have started cleaning up the carb and tossing up wether to re-kit it or wing it and see how it goes, and cleaned up the dizzy, with new points n condenser, dizzy cap, rotor, leads and plugs ect so can get that all on soon, radiator is off to be re-cored tomorrow, now that i have power i can start figuring this wiring out i won't need half of the wires the rotary set up had. need to get it down to work to get the exhaust made sometime soon to, slowly getting through the list of jobs to go now
  2. repu gaurds? prob be way to pricey/ hard to get, unless someone makes fiberglass ones
  3. Hey oldschoolers thinking of trying to convert my utes windows to electric, it has a pretty simple window regulator I was thinking if i flip it around in the door (then it will still slot into the groove at the bottom of the window just from the other side) and make some spacers for the two mounting bolts that don't foul the reg movement and a bit of an adapter for the other two that do, then go to the wreckers and find a electric window motor that fits the gear in the reg and adapt it to bolt to the reg. how do most electric window motors work travel wise? do they just stop when they come under load i.e. hitting top of door or stopper at the bottom? anyone got any other ideas?
  4. haha yeah mate know what you mean, need to prioritise the spending to make the most progress, be cool to see this thing in the flesh sometime
  5. cool coupe, wheels look choice too
  6. been chipping away at this when i can, have got the lsd nugget in after giving it a paint also had to trim the right hand axel to make it work with the lsd, also put one of the reset leaf springs in I'm guessing they have been reset approx 2" will need to see how it sits combined with the 2" blocks if its too low i can trim the blocks down to suit, now need to finish getting brakes back together and sort out fuel line to the pump. Carpet has also arrived looks pretty good also got some under felt to help it sit nice, will get onto to putting that in after the well side is back on for good. got the exhaust manifold back on and fitted the new alternator, so many little jobs yet to do
  7. well been collecting up all the bits to get this thing going, new starter has arrived have painted up the reset leaf springs also painted up alternator brackets, exhaust manifold and done another pair of axels/ backing plates ect have also got a new battery, thinking of mounting it in the tray as its had the battery holder removed from the inner guard and was running a motorbike battery behind the seat but i would rather have a decent sized battery and had a battery box laying around. also have a new carpet on its way from autodec looking forward to putting that in along with the bench seat. looking into getting a new radiator or get the old one re-cored as its pretty rotten.
  8. 12a2nv- cheers mate, good motivation to get some stuff done to update the thread haha rob.121- thanks man, i just used a universal rubber bush from the mount shop i think it was called kit 2 and just new bolts and washers from blacks fasteners, the old rubbers were naffed and these ones squeezed up nicely and semi located in the chassis, then have used pieces of rubber cut into squares on the well side and it sits even and and body lines up good
  9. some new bits now to fit them, have taken the well side back off and mounted the fuel pump just need to tidy up the wiring and run the loom to tail lights new starter motor on its way also
