  8. sold the bmw as was scared about the mrs driving it everyday and the bill if there as ever to be damage outside or motorwise. so brought her this: 1990 Ford Courier cost me fcuk all as brought it off of my aunty and uncle, they had owned it for 8 years, using it on there tomato farm then just 5 or so times a year when they sold up. next day i decided to purchase some steelies from a local 4x4 guru looked not to bad but time would tell, front wheels stick out the guards a long way tho. next on the list were stretched tyres for the front for the guards and matching tyres for the rear, and reset the rear leaves and add 2inch blocks. new toolbox for the tray and headunit- 6x9s and 4" speakers for inside. also relocated the fuel filler system as was difficult to fill in origional position. heres how it looks today. is as low as it can go. front has the bars wound right down. rear when the fuel tank is full has 10mm between top of tyre and wood boards. ___________________________________________________________________________ my daily is this: 1999 ford econovan 17inch advanti sa15s, reset leaves bang on 100mm, wound down bars and is ruffly 60mm, wooden floor with seat added. new headunit and speakers throughout. want to cnotch the rear as only has 20mm of travel before hitting bumpstop but certifier says is to much work. ___________________________________________________________________________ driftcar, some people might reconise it, is the old fastrider courier car. worked motor, front mount, alloy rad and oilcooler thats all i know about the enginebay. rb25det gbox, r230 2way lsd diff out of a gtr with the larger axles. bride seats on superlow rails, modified interior for cage and street use and a few spares Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  9. did you guys do the work at ronald mcdonald house? as i work for concut and was doing the concrete removal downstairs. also what experiance/qual's does this/these people need? what sort of person will fit in with the team? what sort of pay rate and hours will be offered? and what is the workload like for the future eg is there much booked in or waiting for work? im keen but depends on what is needed/what is offered.
  10. yea i think i will have to visit a couple other stores in christchurch and get a small sample made up so the painter can take it to rjp and get it matched in mipa paint. hatch is never going to see water, be outside at night, or be outside at all to be honest. is abit of a show pony and for display. painter does a good job as have seen his work so dont want to chuck a new brand in there and fuck him and the job up.
  11. alright well ive printed out all 3 of those pictures and will visit spraystore this week sometime. cheers for all's help.
  12. yea went into the local resene today and they said they couldnt help due to them only doing house/commerical paint and that i had to go through resene automotive. will give them a bell on monday to see what they can do. hopefully they also give resene account holders discount as my old man is the boss of a large painting company, "lets roll" also noticed on this pic it has some extra info under the title "D8 olive-met" is it telling someone what colours are needed to make this colour? 13. ok cool. have done some research and can get dupont through resene here in christchurc but is only open mon-fri 9-5 so will have to call them. is there any difference between dupont and mipa? the painter wants to use mipa but i want to know if they are the same quality etc. just that i cant find the colour i want looking through their samples nore have anything to take in and colour match.
  14. have choosen the colour i want for my car. visited rjp in christchurch and they cant help me with the colour, tried to sell me on another colour. the colour is mazda jewel green, d8 1973-75 i have 2 codes. dulon/dulux/duco is 15898 ppg is 44979 NOT 100% SURE ON THIS THO dupont 42761 Uploaded with ImageShack.us now the issue is who sells dulon/dulux/duco or dupoint automotive paint and is it a very good quality? or do i have to get rjp to colour match the dulon/dulux/duco-dupoint paint sample i get from another local paint shop? the panelbeater wants to use mipa. ive had a quick look on google but am hopeless so any help will be awesome. cheers corey
  15. hatch packed up yesterday and off to the new panelbeater. shall get it back in 3 to 4 weeks straight and painted. cant wait! will order a rubber kit for it this week and visit a man about some chrome stripes.
  16. ive got one and had a chat to wayne martin last week and he said its a crock of shit. doesnt listern to half of the rules as some fuckwit who sits in an office has written it. ive got the previous update, is the same but missing 5 or so new pages if anyone wants to purchase it or swap for some refreshments. will have to hunt it out first tho. just that they reprint the whole thing every now and again so i have to pay them some fees and i get a fresh copy with a few new rules. also if anyone has so "easier" problems i can look them up but in saying that, how i read it or its written isnt always how the cert dude reads it or wants it done.
  17. contacted jeff and he is very busy at the mo so anyone else out there whom is keen? or knows of someone/some business?
  18. not to good with that side of town. you meaning by jeffs and/or the coke factory? come up off of brougham street throught the lights at the GIB factory and its a km or so up on the left?
  19. after being ripped of 2 grand by: Corey Archer of Kustoms Inc, i am looking to find a decent panelbeater to start and complete my hatch. it was fully baremetalled by myself and all rust sorted by an engineer plus welding in enginebay. ment to him in full primmer in may 2011 and was fairly straight, just needed minor minor work being done and inside painted. collected it today after he had abandoned it in a chch workshop covered in surface rust and new dents and the little bog work that was done was over top of surface rust so now am wanting someone that will get it done. have been told its 4 days work; max of a week. no cash up front but have cash to pay. not trusting anyone anymore. is fully stripped so just the bits your needing and bolt the panels on as you need them. contact me either via txt or phone call at 0272465065 once again do not trust this dude corey archer. ripped off wayne martin and his son approx 10grand. his son was in a crash, corey started doing repairs to the vehicle and claimed insurance saying it was finished. then gave the car back barely touched. insurance says to take it up with him and corey wont get back to wayne. -from his mouth on the 21st owes his current landlord 1300ish and is growing every week. current landlord works from same building and hasnt seen him for 2 weeks and cant get hold of him. if you or someone you know has a project in his new workshop on lichfield street, you better go and collect it before the locks are changed in 7days and you wont get it back till he pays his rent. and been told he owes quite a few $$$ in rent to the landlord of his waller trce workshop he had.
  20. http://www.tyrestretch.com/ is the best place to look.
  21. bump steer prob isnt an issue, is going in my project that will never be road legal, or driven very far. sits very low so will have bumpsteer anyway. a good mate is using a starlet one in his 808 wagon but didnt conclude any futher from that so just seeing if anyone has done or is looking into doing the swap. just would like my engine bay to look that little bit tidier and also allow for more room for the exhaust setup. and yea ausrotary has info but they havent optioned all the different makes and models there is out there. just that someone used a commodore one cut down and a 121 steering column so thats how you "have" to do it.
  22. isnt a shuttle classed as a van? coz then yes it is legal to sheet plate over the rear window. they do it in work vans so shit cant get stolen or smash the windows from inside.
  23. has been like that for a year or 2, drive by it twice a day.
  24. am interested in doing a steering box to rack conversion in my rwd 323 hatch to get rid of the ugly box, just wondering what a suitable rack would be to use? must be on the firewall side of xmember/wheel centres. not to sure but what side are these cars: rwd mk1/2 escort viva chevette or are there any other options? we dont have a pick-a-part here in christchurch so cant go and measure cars up. Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  25. is anyone interested in building me a car dolly trailer? just dont have the room for a big car trailer so thought i would look into making a low car dolly trailer. ruff plans are: i would be using these for axles http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =444819784 which look like the best option wheels will be made up through elite mainly to look cool will have to sit as low as possible to the ground as my projects are all quite low vehicles, wont be for long trips or exceed 60kms an hour. will be used to get them between shops around town. payment can be made in cash or have alot of mazda parts and shells which would work best for me.
