  1. Bugger 23rd/24th i cant do due to ANZAC stz
  2. So the printed circuit board on the rear of my cortina dash clusters is fraying and the plastic insulation has lost its stick with the glue leaving the circuit exposed in places. Whats the best way to fix this? Conductive glue around the circuit then normal glue to press it all down?
  3. Finally made it to my first Chch O/S meet since moving down 3 years ago, cheers boys for the welcome and good yarns! Did a little line up post meet at Lyttleton with h4nd, NickJ and Ben_10, pretty swish colour palette if you ask me! Also pulled out my GT clusters from the shed as i need to fix the printed circuit boards as the adhesive has buggered out and the circuit is frayed. Any recommendations on how to fix it up as im stumped!

  6. SO ive been in contact with a lad in ranfurly about a complete b1600 with wellside. He wants the whole thing gone, but i need to get it to Chch. If anyone is heading up or can store while i sort some form of getting it up here that would be gold. Beers or other compensation awarded for your services! Cheers
  7. Tell me what ive got myself into....
  8. Project Uterus Picked up a solid old Courier/B series ute today from Ashburton. Was used as a farm hack, but overall it ran and had a fresh Wof and reg. Asked the guy what he wanted for it and $850 i was driving back to Chch. The steering box was super sloppy and i had to battle to keep her straight, good fun! I think its a 1.8 backed by a 4 speed. Anyways.... Someone welded a power bulge to the bonnet just to show what a powerhouse this thing is Interior was sweet usual kind of wear for a farm hack Looked behind the seat and found te woodys.... All in all good little score. No notable rust spots in the floor pan, a few small pinholes but all good. Once i strip the house paint off the cab it might bring up some uglies... Plans -Wellside -Fix up interior -Tighten up steering box -Strip down cab -Reupholster bench -Steels and caps -Good dose of low J-W-G
  9. Convoy to Governor's Bay Pub? Or meet there?
  10. Next meet? Been down here 3 years and still havent met the Chch contingent...
  11. Wow nearly a year with no updates! The Tina has made 3 successful trips form Chch to Palmy without a hitchand has been a great daily for the passed year, so pretty stoked all round. Seeing as i couldnt make it up to Nats i decided to give it a fang out to Akaroa, coped well in the turns but really lacks power up the hills (1600 X-flow auto, huhuhuhuh). Had to stop and get at least one pic... Plans for this have culminated to putting a Rover alloy v8 in with a w series box, 6cyl aussie diff with coon lsd, 14x8.5 and 14x7 wards, cortina 2000e interior, power steering and a facelift mk3/4/5 front subframe. Stay tuned...
  12. Hmm yes convoy in? Or meet at skope classic?
  13. Well, well nothing to exciting has really happened to the Escort, I mean i havent done anything exciting to the Escort. Its in at Hewie's Garage in Dannevirke getting all of the panel work pristine so stay frosty. To pass the time over the christmas break was really me sorting the Cortina out to haul back down to Christchurch and making a custom dash cluster for the Escort which ive made out of MX5 bits, anyway to pictures... So bought a normal 'L' cluster and got the hole saw out for two 45mm holes Broke off the original plastic mounts and re glued them to suit the MX5 gauge mount points. Was a near perfect fit with me having to dremel some of the plastic on the back. And the finished product, needed a lick of black satin to clean up the new cut holes. Overall the gauges are a bloody good fit and suit the escort pretty well. Hopefully more updates pretty soon once the panel beating is all done but to do list FE3 + Gbox mounted and running Dash pad reupholster Nardi Torino Rear leaf reset Brakes/hydraulic system sorted Slam and wheels J-W-G
