  1. I'm keen too. Pm Me if a spot opens after the others of course.
  2. Cheers bro! Yeah I'd really love to have 4wd version. But I'll take what I can get! Every now and then a Fiat Panda will pop up on trademe. Just gotta get your search favourites set up
  3. I asked Gulf to sponsor me stickers for the Leadfoot Vintage racing festival. They said yes!!! So I got onto making a stripe and some numbers. Used string to make sure the stripe is straight. First time dealing with large decals. Was fun! Had to do the centre caps too Result It got a fair few comments. I love the look for now. Discussion: http://oldschool.co....00s-discussion/
  4. This is awesome. Nice photo's too! Looking forward to the summer rides.
  5. What happened to this beast. I'd love to get an uno turbo one day. OR Just get the engine and fit it to my Fiat Panda. Would be super fun.
  6. Thanks guys, Yeah a 4WD one would be the best! I think a guy Mal owns two of them down south somewhere.
  7. Haha gold. This one is nearing 300,000kms I'll get it there. Pretty peppy for how old it is. I hope the same part doesn't fail on mine! Let me know if you ever get in contact with the old mate and he's got the panda lying around. Cheers,
  8. Whoops realised I didn't start up a discussion thread. Here it is. //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/48111-clown-dogs-1989-fiat-panda-mkii-1000s-discussion/
  9. Whoops forgot to make one of these. If anyone knows any Fiat Panda's parting out, let me know. I'm always on the hunt for new or better condition parts Also wave hi if you see me driving around Auckland. Build Thread : //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/37753-1989-fiat-panda-mkii-1000s/ -Isaac
  10. I haven't checked in for awhile. This is a while ago now, but the shocks were pretty tired when I bought it. So I made some friends in Italy and managed to get some Bilstein shocks in. More recently I managed to stumble across some new shoes. With the Fiat being 4x98, there isn't much out there. So I had to make it work. Bit wide really, but oh well. It's fun. Put some tyres on. Rolled some guards And it pokes a lot. I know I should probably lower it. But I don't want to for now. Having one slammed car is enough. Nice having a raised daily driver. Future plans include going two tone like the original Mk1 Pandas. That's all for now.
  11. I've only got this pic on me. Quote to weld was from Bruce at Brugar engineering. He's a wizard and If he's doing it, it will turn out nice. I also have to get the shank bolts (showed above) milled down as the shank is about 1mm too wide.
  12. Ok, I'm not sure what to do now. To fit the wheels they will each need to be welded, because for some reason they have a tapered centre bore. So when I use my spigot rings to fix the difference in centre bore the wheel doesn't sit on the hub due to it not having a flat mounting surface. See pictures. Without spigot ring. With black spigot ring I have had a quote for $90 a wheel to get them welded and filled in to make it flat again. But not sure the wheels are worth spending another $360 on.... Any suggestions?
  13. Picked up some. They are a bit wide at the top. and a bit shorter which is what I needed. Might need to bore out the wheels to fit the slightly bigger shank though. Pics for comparison. Thanks guys for your help!
  14. So I got a reply from Davie Motors. "Hello Well we have something, the closest one we have is: Part# TM441 (chrome finish) Hex Head Length 22mm Shank Length 18mm Thread Length 25mm Wrench Size 21mm This bit you may not like, the threaded part is actually separate and can be unscrewed, can supply a longer threaded part which would give you 44mm of thread. (obviously these would need to be threadlocked in!) " That last bit. Is it still safe? Here is the Catalogue... http://www.davie.co.nz/?id=202
  15. Agreed. I want it safe. Not dodgy. The place recommended above are already in contact with me so hopefully find the right stuff soon! Yeah was thinking flares and some PI springs for a 40mm drop.. Will need to buy overseas. Would love coilovers like my other car but there's nothing off the shelf available and I don't want to have to cert it. For reference. I stretched 135/70/r13 onto a 6j wide wheel. This is what it looks like. It was my spare tire. Thought it was a 155 which is what I'll go with as then I can just swap my current tyres. This is hopefully what I'll end up with
  16. Haha yeah they are! Pretty sure it's just a different boot that you attach to turn it into a van. Wish mine was a 4x4 though At least it has the 5speed and twin sunnies!
  17. Haha that's the plan. I know I don't know who thought it was a good idea to put the weights there. Sigh.. Will get that fixed when the tyres go on. Honestly, not sure. Look like ward atlas... but no real name markings. Heres a pic on a rough test fit. Fiat panda FTW. I know I know. Poke and stretch. I'm a bad person.
  18. I have one as a reference but need 15 more... Does anyone know where to find these. Bit of an old style wheel bolt. Would love to buy some so I can finally fit my wheels.
  19. Those two were the worst. From memory only one looked like a normal cam lobe. Well I am hoping there isn't some other underlying problem. But you may be right. I just want it all to work for the girlfriend so she can practice and get her restricted license.
  20. Not sure to be honest, always had oil since we've used it. Was bought from an old lady who used it to and from the shops now and then. Very low Km's. Had been lacking power since we got it but progressively got worse. And the pictures give the reason haha.
  21. Cheers for that Matt. We already have our mechanic working on it for a good price. Sourced a new cam from kiwi cam and we are getting the rocker arms re-faced as I type this. I took some pics of the cam shaft and rocker arms to show the damage. Hopefully this little gem will be able to get up to 100Km after this is sorted. Worn cam shaft Worn rocker arms
  22. I really like this, nice effort bro! You still in Auckland? Will have to keep an eye out for it.
  23. I am in Auckland North shore, Car is in Remuera.
