  1. Correct damien, the thing is this dash has be converted to run 3 valves per cylinder full time so pretty much always on vtec this one has also been made multi point injection with forged positions, rods ,balanced etc etc

  4. been to long since an update... got rid of that gay oil cooler! had to fix up grill because i had to cut a piece out to allow the oil cooler lines to run through. has now been painted and looking gud! wheels before: and after: had to get camber plates to keep those big wheens in (14 x 8 and 14 x8.5) wheels on boom STANCE! also acquired a new couple new 4gs to the family one being this wee number built to 500hp to much done to it to list was FWD but getting everything required for a RWD conversion. all is comming together pretty quickly and should be running by the end of the year and around 275hp ATW for me to learn to drive then 6months after will be pounding well over 300

  7. wheels are 14 x 8.5 rear and 8 front. elite did it but was a massive wait and poor communication. i love the wheels but wouldnt recommend their service it was $1200 just for the halves + $120 for old halves to be cut off + $100 for holes to be drilled and about $30 for the bolts. i culdnt tell u the offset because im a rookie thats only 17years of age and dont know the formula as to how u calculate it lol. if sum1 wants to let me know then ill work out offsets lol but yes pretty sweet wheels and is getting slammed as soon as school holidays come around because chamblins is closed on weekends. also if anyone is keen on camber plates i got sum from toyshop off trademe and they bolt straight in haha. car is pretty illigal atm but all will be certed once my new motor is in... stay tuned!

Damien! shit sorry man havent checked out the discussion in ages yeah if you havent sorted it out mounting that lip yeat then im more than happy to take photos and yip its 'L' mounting brackets that are used. JimmyExLancer sorry dude im using those springs at the moment but trying to sus coilovers so ill let you know if they forsale and u still need them boxtype, im not fully understanding you maybe try talk to fuel as he knows everything there is to know about mitsi's
  13. oh yeah many of you will be wondering why i have standard wheels on????? at the moment the ssr starsharks are getting new front halves (dish) made up going to take 6weeks untill they will be finished and my pockets will be empty because of the price but i wanted it done so yeah mean haha. got pulled over for the first time in this car on friday night, mr policeman told me my car had "illegal mounted oil cooler" and he had "seen my gearstick on Police ten7" but he loved what was going on so much that he let me drive off without even a warning haha not to menchion the fact that i was boosting 90kmh in a 50zone haha dpnt think he realised that but he was the most layed back police man ever haha gc
  14. since my last update iv put redline shockproof oil in the lsd and now it peels two wheels easy as. had some stickers made, this is the one i like the most, its MITSUBSHI in japanese symbols bought some fender mirrors off ebay because i liked them plus my lancer came out of the factory with them. only took a week to get here so that was a bonus. because the lancer used to have the mirrors i was hopeing that the holes in the guards for mounting would still be there but just bogged over to make mounting and positioning easier for me. i was in luck, this photo is of the holes bogged over inside the gaurd the night i got the mirrors i mounted them up as soon as i could then drove to the mall to get a few photos bought some tint just the stuff sold at repco. to put it on i took all the windows out so i could get a finish that i was happy with because when i see tint with bubbles and lines/creases all through it it makes me sick haha and i didnt want to be like that with my own car so i spent hours on it hahaha
  15. so i realised i havnt done a update in months no so i thought i better get onto it! well i have replaced all bushers with nolathane and also did balljoint and tie rods at the same time seeings tho most of it was comming out i thought best to replace it with brand new parts! once bushers/tierods were in i was on thephone to my dad to book the gsr in at the tire shop for a wheelalinement. once the boys at the tyre shop had finished with the gs i drove it back home only to notice that it now handles a whole lot better (used to handle like a boat) so was really happy that it steers so nicely now. got real into my japanese goods last week and bought a "dildo" gear knob and some stickers. this is what they look like oil replaced the gear box oil with this stuff because it would go into gear really shit and crunch ect with old oil but i havent had a chance to drive it yet because im currenty in the middle of fitting my oil cooler lines to the factory oil cooler out puts as there is a themostat there. all was going well unto i tightned up a fitting to tight and snapped it oh well off to jap race first thing tomorro to buy a new fitting then ill be putting in some penrite 15-60 oil that i purchased today anyways heres the shock proof oil wof was due at the end of last week. thought id be cheaky and take it to vtnz and see how it goes well i got it, only failed on the lights needed to be realined (did it infront of mr vtnz man and he gave me the big tick) brand new vtnz wof!

  17. steering idler bush - 41001 strut bar to chassis - 48042 sway bar link - 42032 sway bar link washers - 42933 lower inner arm - 45278 sway bar "D" bush - 42225 all nolathane bushes and all sold at repco. i believe thats all the bushes up front as far as i know tie rod part numbers are in the car i will get them if you guys want them if not im staying inside its far to cold in quakechurch!
  18. did your shifter have a plastic cup/shifter bush on the ball of your shifter? after one of thoses cups, know how i would get one?
  19. got all from repco. i replaced all bushes up front also ball joints and all tie rods (inner and outers) ill get you a list of everything tonight. is pretty easy to do everything one you have all bushes but because there are no listings for ex i went by the 1st gen lancer and starion listings and used samples to get the right ones etc. i could also get you repcos rrp for each bush/ball joint/ tie rods if you wanted me to.
  20. jobs all done! the nolathane 45278 was the right one for the job! now just need a wheel alinement and shes good to go
  21. it is for a jap gsr lancer damien didnt even think about using jap model listing but i bought the 45278 bush and is getting pressed in tomorrow. will be a verry verry verry tight fit. ill let everyone know how i go
  22. does anyone kn0w what the part number is for a 1981 ex lancer lower arm inner control bush is. in the nolathane book it tells me a la lancer is 45056 but i bought that and its not going to fit my ex, go figure? is a starion bush the same 45278 nolathane. any help is needed thanks
