Cheers for the reply lads, it's a single HS6 (1 3/4"). Used to have a waxstat jet and floating needle, have converted it back to stock with a normal jet (forget the size off the top off my head), a ZH fixed needle and a yellow spring. Centred the jet etc so I think the carb itself is fine, it's just tuning it and a hands on lesson would be great. Regarding the dashpot oil I had tried light oil (3 in 1, sewing machine kinda stuff), but this time I decided to follow the owners handbook and the haynes book of lies and toss in some engine grade oil (20W50).

Does anyone have one or access to one in Auckland? Edit: On that note if anyone is handy at tuning (SU carb) that'd be sweet too Cheers

I just went to Crystal motors in Eden Terrace, got recommended them from a another member here. Bloke seemed to be fair on the car when doing the WOF, but then again my car isn't a complete wreck, yet lol As kiwi808 has said, what are you after?

Each to their own I guess. $40-50 would be a fair price for the dash if it's in a tired state, but not split/cracked etc I need to get some new walnut veneer on my car, would look so lush
