  1. so your truck is done and now the viva is almost done what will you do next
  2. i would start with wheels and lowering coz you can't really paint till you know your guards right to fit wheels with no rubbing with out putting alot of money into it, it wont be a race car so look more at style, low with wide dished wheels guards massaged to fit and a nice exhaust and maybe a front chin lip one of the other oldschool members did this one might give you a couple ideas you don't need 5 stud unless your big power 4 stud is fine
  3. had a little play in the weekend heres a pic of the engine bay as it is at the mo it use to be super clean and shinny but its thick with dust at the mo the whole car was going to be hothouse green but the paint got used on another car so the next choice was the tin of toxic green that was there that will do for now look at changing it down the track might have to mod the guards to fit my dream wheels if i ever get them then decided to try my 13x7 superlites on got a small issue with the rear guards rubbing but the car wont be that low at wof time coz at the mo its got no bump stops and the leaf springs are bolted in upside down 15" rims look better planing on getting some dished ones i would run the supra ones but all the tyres are stuffed so the 13" got good tyres since im on a tight budget to get it on the rd can had a good car like this locked away. so half way through cleaning up inside bits to put it back together still deciding if i'll put carpet in or not as the floor is all clean with all tar removed trying to find some chrome corners trim for the rear windscreen once the window is in the car will be water tight and i can bring it back to my house and progress will be faster long term goal is to have it on the road for nats nex year ready for ROAD TRIP!!
  4. its a old nissan dash that was modded down to fit, the last own did all the shaving, i too like keeping it old school but i do like a few little mods plans are to tidy up bumpers and put them back on also chrome trim along the top edge of the doors will be there also planing on some dished 15" wheels with just the right amount of slam
  5. Pic-less update been on the mad hunt for parts this week ive found a guy with some bits ive gotta go look at tonite and i picked up a crossmember was told its out of a ke30 turns out its a kp60 one so not sure if its going to work can anyone tell me how much different is ae85 crossmember engine mount points from the ke35 one as its got a ae85 one in there for the 4age and that conversion is on hold i want it on the rd so just putting a k motor back in to get some use well i save up for the more costly bits also i need seat rails can anyone tell me are kp starlet ones the same or dx rolla's or any other cars got rails that will fit a ke35. oh and if anyone knows someone wrecking a c33 luarel with gray seatbelts i would like the front pair as they have the pillerless bits to hang from the roof cheers in advance for any answers to the above
  6. the hinges usually have a bigger hole so they sort of slotted if you loosen the bolts off and slide it up usually its easier to take the guard of and loosen shut the door then lift a little to take the weight off and do them up then test till its right
  7. so to answer your question yes straight from the batt is fine

  14. if it had better dished wheels it could still look ok
  15. whats the rear end that the sr20det powered ke25 drift car running the only issue with doing a car like that is at somepoint you WILL hit somthing and can do major damage so would be good idea to have couple parts cars for your body work as there getting harder to find bits for those old cars found a little info about it http://www.shredmotorsport.co.nz/?page_id=250 dosn't really matter what engine is as long as it holds up to hard out revving drift cars more come down to handling and steering lock etc

    basic help

usually in most cars the door loom runs from the door to the piller through a rubber boot usually if you pull that out and the wires out from the piller then theres usually a plug incase you need to remove the door for some reason so you don't need to cut the wires thats why i said you could just get a door loom from the wreckers and just plug it in the piller then to the factory window switch and the window motor plug-n-play or you can do your own custom wireing

    basic help

what is it in can you not just find a factory door loom that you could just plug and play or was it custom electric windows in a car that dosn't usually have them?
