  1. since when do rotarys ever have wofs? just bring it. theres bound to be rougher looking cars you can hide amongst. or get a ride with us can I come if I don't have an oldschool car? unsure if ill jump in with matt or bring my own car.
  2. no more room for another to attend? last year was awesome. got no shed, well I do but its shit.
  3. Hey anyone head to meremere for the rotary nations drag racing? Was a pretty good but there was alot of track clean up breaks. Sun was also way to farken hot. That 7 second r32 MGAWOT also stacked it early on in the day which was a bit gutting. multiple bonnets flying up also. Expect bonnet pin sales to increase
  4. Haha good idea. I was looking at some 5 spoke wheels, think I was having a nosey at the Rota version of the Desmond Regamaster . Was also looking at some Work wheels. Problem with those wheels is that they are awfully expensive, im more after the look not the light weight performance gains. Good thing about wheels is if I get sick of them I can easily swap them for something else. Going to send a nice side on picture to my brothers partner who does graphic design to change the color of the centres. Ill post some pictures up and work out which color looks best. Cheers mate. Saved me potentially a lot of hassles and the wine red color didn't really do it for me anyway. Just looked like a good buy at the time. If your ever in Auckland ill take you for a spin and a beer. Also what is up with everyone putting N1 front bumpers on their GTRs? Those two square holes look like shit in my opinion. Too much going on. Only external styling mod I may do is a front diffuser to bring the front down a little, maybe a carbon fibre one from Abflug or something.
  5. Cheers mate. Regarding the wheels, they are BBS RS replica wheels. Would I be committing some sort of wheel crime by chucking on some BBS centre caps? Would never try pass them off as genuine, just thinking the centre caps look pretty sweet. Like this guys wheels
  6. Was a good turn out. Pretty much a car there for everyone's taste. Got a bit roasted though, oldrx7s sunblock came a little too late to save me.
  7. Yep am rolling to Greenlane now. See some of your guys there.
  8. Facebook pages says it is. Weather isn't suppose to turn too shit today tho.
  9. Hey mate, your ride sounds sweet. Is the 34 engine different than the 32? I was looking at steel wheel upgrades as I personally think the cars quick enough for the street as it is, maybe a few more ponys would nice. The garret drop in turbos are also appealing but a nice single such as a gtx35 would also look pretty good in the engine bay. Just not keen to dump 10k+ on this yet, atleast not without really thinking it through. I also like having my license. yep still got the hicas, it has an interesting feel it on turn, or roundabouts or even changing lanes on the motorway. I first time it did its thing I thought I had lost grip in the rear, then was thinking my sub frame was moving around but now I just go with it and find it quite enjoyable now that I understand what it's trying to do. I want to have a little go on a track so I can really get a feel for it without ending up in the bushes. havent gone mental in it around corners though as we are still getting to know each other. Prev tyres didnt inspire much confidence but these toyos should be good so won't be so reluctant to push it. you also have an excellent choice in vehicle!
  10. Good stuff will have to make that a job for the weekend.
  11. Cheers for that. Might give the redline and friction modifier a try and see how we go from there. Will avoid pulling it out for now as it's still liveable. im guessing friction modified make it's less grippy? Cause we don't want more
  12. Might look into that. Just a bit aggressive for street use at the moment. Car handles like it's on rails with the diff, suspension and the 4 wheel steering though. What fluid did you use and was your a bit tight to start with? Mine is basically a locker when fluid is cold so I have to give it a big rev, start moving then always clutch in a coast for tight driveway or car park turns until its warm. It does seem to have calmed a bit since I got it so might have been broken in a bit or I'm used to it more. not planning on any hectik d1s
  13. Will prob take a decent side on photo and ask the brothers mrs to photoshop the wheel centers a different color till I find something I like. Yea have seen that, unsure if I should take the plunge or not. If I was to go link it would then go aftermarket turbos and watch it spiral out of control lol. Got another week to decide though. Could always buy and if I don't end up going down that path onsell for probably no loss. I wanted to crank the boost up currently to 1 bar but have heard about the ceramic wheels going boom. unsure if I want to risk it. bro was egging me on at drag day to wind it up a bit to crack a 12 but a bitched out. I see there is inexpensive options of either changing the wheel to steel or some garret bolt in replacement turbos seem to be about the 2.5 mark. decision decisions. cheers mate, gunmetal was my original plan but white is just so good. also forgot to add in the mod list it has a cusco 2way lsd. shes a bit rough when cold though, shudders a bit like a locker reversing out of my driveway but once has some miles on it feels good. haven't popped a skid yet though. thinking of changing the oil to make it a bit more mild.
  14. Hey I know exactly what you mean regarding the wheels. Am still deciding if I should get the centre bit redone in either the same colour as the stock wheels or a dark bronze as I like bronze on white cars. They do look better in person though. Cheers tho, she's a dream come true. Recently booted up my old gran turismo 2 save from when I was 14 or so and I it's full of GTRs lol
  15. Been meaning to make a thread on this for a while. Story goes like this.. I have been wanting a R32 GTR for as long as I can remember, was always the dream car to have since my younger days when everyone had gtsts and gt4 skylines. I had been saving furiously for a few years trying to have a crack at the property market so had some money sitting idle, the pine for a gtr started to get stronger and stronger then one day I just went for it. I had not long turned 30 so thought of it as a present to myself. After a bit of a hunt this is what I ended up with. Originally wanted a black one or that dark grey they come out in but after seeing white in the flesh I was sold. Also had to be a 1994 model as I wanted the latest one you can get. 1994 Nissan Skyline GTR 82,000ks Tomei type A cams 264 Adjustable cam gears (no name brand and not dialled in yet) Aftermarket fuel pump Mines ECU Straight through exhaust with 1 rear muffler Apexi induction kit Lowering springs on bilstein shocks Cusco 2way LSD Stock turbos at stock boost (10-11psi) N1 side skirts, rear end caps and headlights. Tomei gear knob my lovely lady got me for Christmas as previous one was the only thing I hated about the car So far have only changed the wheels, still working out which route to go with the turbo chargers. I sold my Evo 5 so freed up some extra coins for this. Here's some pictures 18x9.5 BBS rep wheels with toyo t1r 265/35/r18 rubber Old school drag day. This was my quickest run. 13.109 @ 108.88 Goes hard for wot it iz
  16. haha yea but then would probably end up with an extra grand or so in expenses fixing any damage I have done. spent almost 30k on the car so don't mind another 200 to get guards rolled professionally.
  17. platinum wheels seem to be the go, sound like they pretty good at this. booked in 9:30am Friday so can be rolling all pimping for xmas/new years. $50 buck a guard so not cheap but cheaper than me fucking them up myself.
  18. ok tried hyper tyres and they said they prefer not to do it and to call gt refinishers, gt refinishers told me cant do it till feb. any other ideas?
  19. hey guys who do you call for some guard rolling in Auckland? mobile or not mobile, doesn't matter but kinda of want it done before xmas. tried to put some rims on and the guards rub. would be nice if some guy could do it afterhours or this Friday as im free Friday. want a decent job so im not going to baseball bat roll them or anything like that like.
  20. my usual hot start method is one pump then 50%-100% throttle, turn key and let off gas when fires up. works for my barely running piece of shit.
  21. if your not towing a vehicle tow bars are great for causing maximum damage to cunts who rear end your vehicle at low speeds and quite often you come away with no damage too. watch your shins when walking around the car though
