  1. shoot down there and buy it mate! Otherwise I will!
  2. When I saw that mx5 and the plate. I was thinking, Man I going to pull and stop right infront of it and ask for a number. I am so glad I didn't do that...
  3. You can not believe this, I Just saw 3gen CRX open top(without roof) with clear tail light driven by a mid aged dude, RIGHT BEHIND IT was a Red Mx5 also driven by a mid aged dude. And The MX5 PLATE is TOPLS. Ok....
  4. Right, Right, sucks they don't do Springs, only coil overs. I am currently wanting to get some Standard/ slight lower Springs that's 6k front 4k rear, or something similar. the TRD lowering springs can't do it, it's no way near as hard. It's 27N/mm front and 26N/mm rear also they discontinued as rob mentioned. Any suggestions? Is there any rubber mounts or something that I can put under/ above the Trd racing spring and make the ride higher?
  5. Nice cam, the Price is very Good too, $130 US dollars for the whole set. All these stuff in the website does look well engineered and made. Have you personally bought anything from it?
  6. right, in that case, I may need to buy some second hand suspension arms to start with. well, I will see I guess, but I am keen to do them at the same time I am doing my shocks and springs etc. Cheers for your Infor man, Cleared my head with these after market racing linkages and arms. Can you not just use a driller to brake the rubber a bit? and the the rest should easy to take off?
  7. Right That's what I want to hear!! They're offering Life Time warranty now. Differently in my to Do list. Anyone know where I can get them for Good Price?
  8. very advanced for me to understand you here. I can see how front castor arms can adjust chamber angle etc. Pinion angle is the angle between diff and drive shaft right? how does it make the diff work differently? Thanks for your infor, so you saying I wouldn't never ever need them unless I turn it to a full race car?
  9. Yes, No engine, power mods, only easy suspensions, and everything I mod can be easily put back to original.
  10. Right, Got two Random Exhaust manifold shield from my mate today, ready to modify them and give a crack on fitting to the car. I have also been thinking about these suspension arms and linkages. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-par ... 383683.htm http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-par ... 744580.htm I can't get my head around, I can get Nolathane Bushes and make the car's links and arms more stable and free movement in the right directions. Could someone please educate me on these ? and they're adjustable why?
  11. Right, I was just wondering about that, yehp, heard about N2, remeber it now, I think was still going on in early 2000s in North America. tell us about it more man. I would like to know: How would this much weight and insane power gain do to Overall car's balance and handling? How heavy the steering would be when you put a 2jz in there. would it be nose heavy at corners and lot more understeer? or you moved the engine further back and it doesn't really matter? either way, 2jz is the most powerful engine toyota ever built for reasonable price and I am glad someone here in OldSchool is going mad at it in a AE!
  12. That's A LOT OF POWER in this car, Probably need lots and lots of chassis strengthening + Full roll cage, otherwise the car would just disintegrate, when you put your foot done. I recall 2-3 years back When I was looking at an 4agte 86 with 200-220 bhp at wheels, which now owned by 4age addict, it was surely felt fast than sti/evo at any speed. But yet very unstable. Also you probably need hard suspension setup with slick tyres, still I would be very amazed if the driver could handle this thing around the corners when it's done. SICK CAR man, Would Love to sit in this thing just to feel the straight line speed, probably too scared for the corners. What's N2 cars?
  13. so, what did you do about the damaged LCA? did you buy a after market adjustable set from Trademe?
  14. I am happy to help if you want any tires to burn. My mate would like to drop few tons to yours tim.
  15. yeph , water pump is NEW as only like 20kms old. so not there. will check all the pullies on the driving belt, which would be easy. for all the pullies and tensioners at timing belt will probably take it slow for now. Read some manual first.
  16. Sorry it's a business intellectual property, would discuss in pm if some of you guys could help cheers.
  17. I will get that sorted, no worries. Now, I have some issues with Water Pump belt/timing belt nosie, It always had it since the last owner. The timing belt is new, but not sure about the tensioners etc. When I put the water pump in, I made sure I tighten the Pump Belt right, and It doesn't look worn. So, any suggestions?
  18. Yeahp, developed a good relationship with supercheap dudes next door. ACL used to supply Supercheap with that exact heat shield for 55 dollars for that 290mmx700mm sheet. But now they sell it for 80+ because it's a special order now. errrh, don't want to pay that much money for a heat shield. maybe hunt somewhere else first.
  19. Yes, I know that one too, do you know anyone in there in person? Yes my mate has a car and truck wrecker business. If you think you could help me and would like to know some more information. please pm me in person.
  20. New distributor is in, Tin Foil is in, Set the timing back to 8-10 degree, again short circuited the engine light while did that. Forgot to take 8mm spanner out of the hood, and lost it while doing a flying lap around the block go for a walk tomorrow and look for it Now, researching for customerized heat shield.
  21. Hello Staying here til sat morning/afternoon. What you guys up to on Fri late afternoon and evenings? Andy Hi My Chch friends. I am flying down to ChCh this Wed, 25th of April for few days. The goal for this trip is to help my mate to develop his business in South Island region. Sorry couldn't explain into details due to business intellectual property reasons. Pm me if you want to know what is it about. I know there is few Japanese Car/Truck wreckers in Chch, but I do not know them personally. If anyone know anyone who work for/own a Japanese Car/Truck wrecking business , Please let me know. Thank You in advance, and I would like to buy you some beer regardless of outcome If you would like to know more information please pm/txt /call me. 021 269 8650 Andy
  22. I actually can get all random heat shield from other wrecked cars for free as my mate is a wrecker. was going to customerize design my own heat shield by cutting up some hard paper board see if they would fit. then make the real stuff, because who cares if I screwed up some random metals. But then I don't have cutting, bending and weilding tools tho.
  23. Thanks D1 mule. Yehp ,I am Ok for the task, as I have taken all leads, plugs, and distributor Cap out for cleaning, and also fine tuned the timing with timing light again today. As Long as I don't physically taking the distributor out, I should be fine. Unfortunately, I have to wait till tuesday to receive the Cap. Supercheap had cheap ones but Not in their supplies stock, Repco had stock but they sell for Higher Price than Toyota Geniune which helped me to make a easy decision there. So on tuesday, I will be testing the new Cap out, and use tin foil as the shield, hopefully everything should be fine. But Not driving it until I get a Proper heat shield installed, I perfer to get the Entire manifold Shield rather than just on the dizzy cap. will Report back to you guys soon.
  24. Still don't really understand tho. The rotor carries and passes the electricity to the ignition leads while they become contact. Doesn't seem to have anything to do with the plastic distributor cap.
