  1. Are these Skirts Factory or after market ones? do they fit alright?
  2. I use it to teach my homestay family member to drive it at Unitech in the weekend. It ended up the wrong way around sometimes. just sometimes.
  3. That 20v engine does sound very Nice indeed. but just remind you mine untouched 16v big port with the exhaust system also sounds Very Aggressive too. All the sound is mostly from exhaust system tho.
  4. Oh, I see, All 20v engines needs to relocate your Distributor I assume you know that.(beaten) Truenotch Knows inside and out about performance for ae86. I would agree with 16v small port.
  5. this car was on trademe around 2-3 month ago? I think it was very very good deal at the time, if it's fuck all rust. Good to see another 86 in this forum, I like blue colour tbh. BTW, why do you want to put Silver Top in ? black top are cheap as nowadays.
  6. So been doing this thing over the weekend. Got these set from Rob(4age addict) different colours and also heavy scratches etc. So spraying it is the only option. Took ages to sanding them. also failed more than once to spray some of these due to the Vinyl Spray I am using. Then Took ages to get the position right when put on the car. but the result is actually very satisfactory . Camera is shit tho. After Sanding. After spraying After put on the car.
  7. thanks guys. going to buy this tomorrow. Should do pretty much all the inside places with no primer and no top top. http://www.supercheapauto.co.nz/online- ... escription
  8. Lady cop? her hand writing is so shit that No one can read.
  9. Lack of knowledge is ok some times.. Japa
  10. Kpr, Do you have difficulty to put 20v engine in ? The distributor isn't a space issue for you? or do you put the distributor the other way around?
  11. Kpr has done it. See Kpr's Project?
  12. Above answer is correct. I have been to new lynn repco. the guy couldn't help me ,I ended up matching them to the shelf myself. Then someone from Hachi Owners told me he got them from repco with part number. 1cm longer, but I have to order ball joint studs. Now problem solved. Could be solved sooner if the Repco dude knew what he is doing.
  13. Now, I have been waiting for Rob to do this since the day I saw Rob on oldschool. I have been Robs Garage twice in the Last Six month.( and I am located in AKL LOL) The White GTV which I know little history about, was on Trademe at late 2009/early 2010 I think. I have inspected the car and the owner at the time took me for a ride in it. I was surely fast as hell with the 4agte. but It wasn't stable enough. I was really keen to buy it at the time for $10500. Some how I couldn't do it. The white GT Coupe is actually mint last time I saw it. It is apparently most Ridged and light weight 86 ever made. The Silver Panda GT Apex is/was always tucked away at the corner with cover on. Rob pretty much bought what ever is available in NZ Toyota + some in Yahoo for the GT Apex. Rob is a perfectionist and Knows inside and out for all AE86s.
  14. How come you have to regas it twice in 8 years? Is regasing not as good as brand new ones? I went to New Lynn SAS, says 30+ for each to regas, Repco actually has the struts on special $20-30. but It's either not long enough or have different fitting on both ends. Shit. I probably have to regas it.
  15. Cool as, So any place to suggest if I decided to rebuild? Mobile dude would be costy isn't it/which guy? Tai I might come to you bro, if rebuild doesn't make sense financially.
  16. Hi guys. Do you guys know a reasonable priced place to get my rear hatch struts to rebuild? How long would they last after rebuilt generally? Thank you Andy
  17. yehp and people will come in side ways.
  18. cheers mate. 4 bottles are new unopened mate. You are safe as putting 20 rubbers on while doing it (Mods? Is this too much delete if you want..)
  19. Yowser, Going to give you 4 and half containers Engine oil for Jase. So please come.
  20. Nah. hasn't got it out today. Monday. Was at Mt albert on Sunday night at 6-6.30ish tho.
  21. After failing once at one of the quarter glass. Now it's finally all back together. the Quarter glass trim is surperisingly easy to put on. and here is the photo. Can't tell they have been off before if you don't it for more than 5 mins. One of the major imperfection would be the upper part of one side has about 1-2mm gap between the glass and the trim. The reason for that is I stuffed it up for once, with hard and urethane. Then I had to redo it again but this time with soft urethane, so the glass had pushed bit further inside. Anyway I am very happy with the result. maybe just maybe next time will be faster, easier and better. Had fished oil heaps of the quarter glass. and some sills, will do all the sills etc. before I put interior back on. Now it's time to enjoy this shit before I do anything Major. Question: Hatch struts decided to be weak. Saw some in supercheap not sure the sizes, but beside that any suggestions?
