  1. Anyone need a ride? Also anyone got space for a bike?
  2. Yeah I love the colour. Originally was keen for the usual black but I reckon this is something different. Its separate coil and shock at the rear and coilover at the front. Super easy to bag. Cost me $180 to fill with 98. Got about 650ks on the open road plus some extra driving from Palmerston North to Christchurch on that tank. Around town it seems pretty thirsty. Slapped $60 in and it was gone in about 150ks. Havent really driven it enough to get the full gist yet. I guess at the end of the day its an old 4L V8 pulling 1700kgs so its gonna be pretty thirsty.
  3. I put a 1GGTE in my factory manual 1GG GX71 Mark II. I don't regret it at all. They came out factory turbo, my car is essentially the GT version now. I did it because its what I wanted to do. If you want to turbo it then turbo it. Its not like they only made 100 Mark II's. Its an uncommon car but not rare. I also peeled the guards, modified the suspension, changed the car audio, destroyed the chassis rails etc. So its far from factory anyway. Do what you want to do, life's to short to worry about if its rare or not. Maybe if you were turning a 2000GT into a limo then we might have an argument but its a Mark II we are talking about here haha. And to answer your question, your factory fuel pump is fine. If you are worried about it sounding shit then listen to this turbo whine...

  8. Discussion thread here! I did a deal on the Corolla and got something much more my style, basically a car I have always dreamed of owning. The opportunity arose to accomplish this dream and I did it. This is it, a 91 VG45 Toyota Century (L Shape). Its the long wheelbase version, powered by a 5V "Toyota Hemi" 4Litre V8. Now I know its 1991 so probably not classified as Oldschool but this thing has kept almost the same shape since the late 60s so I may be forgiven. The car has done 110,000ks, is in very good condition. Hard to find a single fault with the interior, everything works except for 1 window which I have a replacement reg coming from Japan already. List of features is pretty ridiculous, too lazy to list now. Has 2 dings down one side that I will get fixed, apart from that everything is mint. Pricing up airbags at the moment, bag it on factory rims for a starter and then look into the horrors of adding wheels. Also going to get tints redone. Have some plans on replacing some of the older tech with modern tech and integrating it nicely. Like replacing the Tape player in the arm rest with a tablet. Wifi in the car, redoing the speakers and stereo etc. Need to do a photo shoot, here is a taster:
  9. Vehicle is sold. Admins can lock this thread if that is what needs to happen. PS I replaced it with something way more awesome.

  11. Is there a list of people going and payments etc? I think I might be blind...
  12. Reg'd faggots, might bring the Corolla. Yeah.
  13. Cheers guys, yeah its really growing on me every day seeing it sitting outside and its exciting to have a new project since the Mark II has been relatively "completed" for a while now. Will look into easiest way of lowering it a bit. I want to be able to restore it to factory.
  14. Cheers man. Always had a soft spot for KE20s. It was too mint for the price to ignore. It pains me to see any vehicle sitting above 50mm but I think it is best to leave this factory height.
  15. Discussion Here I couldnt turn this deal down. I drove past this car parked on the side of the road for about a year and always loved it. Drove past it last Thursday and it had a bit of cardboard in the window, turned around and came back and sure enough it was a for sale sign. Got a pretty decent price on it IMO. Have never specifically wanted an old corolla but its tidy and would be a pretty ideal car for the Mrs so I grabbed it. Now I own an actual oldschool worthy car haha. Has done 88,000 miles. 3K Manual. No rust anywhere obvious except for the sill in front of the drivers door that has been repaired. Interior is getting close to mint. Has a small crack in the dash, the rear seats and carpet look brand new. Front seats have a couple of very small rips. Just need to start searching hard for parts. If anyone knows where to get internal door pull handles, the tray that goes under the dash and a drivers door card in blue then please let me know! Plan to keep it stock and keep tidying it up. Pics:
  16. It just doesn't work and I have never fixed it. Also makes the rides more interesting.
  17. So purchased a stock C50 a year or 2 ago and got myself a seat in QCR. Went hard for a stock C50 and I molested the fuck out of it at all times. Eventually it got tired and started losing power. I spent a bit of coin getting a spare piston, rings etc from Ebay and got it going again, more issues. I hate having to mess with shit and I am always happy to spend the $ for good reliability etc. So, purchased a 125CC SkyTeam engine from a good bastard here in Christchurch who runs a bike shop called MCDU. Cost me a wee bit to get it all sorted but got it in and running. Now I have the luxury of 4 gears, more power and a clutch, ideal for popping skids and wheelies (haven't mastered the wheelies yet). Other mods include, toyota paint job, no front brake, smashed headlight, chopped rear guard, bigger tyres, custom exhaust, custom bar set-up, external oil cooler. Mods needed are slamming, need to make this cocksucker drag like my car. Here are some pictures, I will take some more when I get it back, its still sitting in Chris's garage with a popped rear tyre, ha! Before during and after paint: Popping a skid/load?
  18. Ages since any updates. Got a lip. Fucked my diff. Probably going to get a TRD centre for it. Everything else is still loving it. Might have to drop the height to some more chassis destructive levels for Nats in a few months. Looking at buying another project in the next 12 months and cooking up another creation. EDIT: Probably should have posted this in my main thread, meh, admins can shift it if they CBF. Heres some recent pics:
  19. Do I need to send you a BJ voucher to get them up here?
