  1. its the same principal as cooling down shrink spots...when you have a dent that wont "sit" right,heat it up in the inner most part of the dent shrink it with your hammer and file then hit it with a wet rag,doesnt have to be ice cold...depends on the shape of the panel and how big/bad the area to repair is.
  2. keep a bucket of ice and rags next to you,cool off each weld and move around the patch,like bolting a head down. You dont need to run a bead.......small spot weldes are ok.

    I fucking HATE hondas....but they do go well. I had a young prick flip me a finger for pulling into a lane and not letting him in first,when he was riding my arse. I was in our old $500 3rd gen prelude 4WS 20i and the guy undertook me,threw a ring spanner at the car and then had himself a chase on his hands. He was in a subaru GT turbo wagon and he couldnt get away from me at all,maybe traction out of the corners and that was it.I had him on brakeing and cornering........this cunt was blowing stop signs to get away..i was blowing em to catch the fucker..till he wrote himself off on a parked car and crabbed the fuck outta there in his glorified volkswagon. So.yeah I fuckin hate honda's,lol. People say rice tastes like shit..........2 billion people cant be wrong eh
  7. Hi Callum. Im not sure which wire would be the charge light on my car. I just cant work out how this problem came about? I mean,if it was set up for an int reg,why wouldnt it run,or stop runing more to the point? I did have the dash out,but everything was plugged in where it came from. After all the time in the build,to be stopped dead in my tracks,over something that most people could nail down.....is really depressing. Ill pull the dash again tomorrow bugger it.
  8. OK ok.....tried the 3rd alt,still no mutherfucking go! It still runs and shit,but just cant turn ignition off at the key,i can turn the car off at the key,but ignition and pump still runs on. Im going to pull the dash out tomorrow,this is killing me i tell ya. I can hear relays clicking and shit when i cycle the ignition,so theyre working,to a degree i assume. I just dont have any money to spend on sending it to a sparky,and more to the point,i dont want any cunt fucking with my car,then saying they cant sort it,like what happened to geordie,since its the same exact model,with the same engine conversion....and theres plenty of meatheads out there that think they know everything. Id rather have someone from the datsun family or oldschool following have a look at it. Oh well.im definately off for a beer now,and more headscratching.
  9. ive tried two of the alts I have,which came from zx's.id say my car is already set up for an IC alt....ya reckon i should try the other alternaters? Its not the ignition,ive tried another with no change. When the cars running,sometimes itll die when i pull a batt lead,sometimes it wont. The other strange thing is when i turn it off to the lock position,itll have one spot where itll turn off,but as i go past that spot on the ignition to lock,itll try and start again...im fuckin stumped eh Ky. Ive emailed Geordie,but havnt heard back from him in a good few months,im sure he would know,as his is the same as mine. I might try the other alts and get back. Ive changed nothing in the refit,all wires are connected properly and theres no copius amounts of spare parts so............im off for a homebrew!

  11. Hiya Ky,yep,its an IC unit rated at 50amp.I have 4 the same rating,just different manufacturers...hitachi and mitsi.
  12. If anyone is keen to help me out,I sort of have to get this done in the next 3wks,as thats when the car comes off resto and goes for a WOF and REG. Someone heres gotta have the smarts for this,I just cant get my head around it. So im begging here,lol...........no shit....i am.

  14. For $150 youll get a good whack of work,for example,a barcode about a foot long,lol! Seriously though,you get my car going and youll get more than just that amount of tattoo work,in colour,sumi greywash or oldschool blackwork. My specialty is darkside/biomechanical but can do whatever you like. From what ive been told,i need an IC alt,which I thought it already had,so apparently it needs a diode wires inline somewhere,fuck....i dunno. Anyways,VVega,if your keen,let me know and we'll nutt something out I know little of electrics,id rather put a hammer though something than fuck with wiring.
  15. If anyones a auto sparky here and wants either some panel work or a $150 worth of tattoo work let me know. My car has a problem with the key staying on with power to the fuel pump and ignition,with the key taken out. I know its to do with a live wire from the alternator or something similar ive been told,but ive had it up to my nuts with wiring over the last few weeks. Ive tried a few diff alts but no change.All the wires are hooked up as they were before the rebuild so i cant see what the FUCKS! going on. This is the last thing before I go for a wof after a 3yr build............so someone out there has to have a dent pulled,or rust fixed or some spare skin they want drilled?

  19. cheers guys. It seemed to be a simple rekit,just two seals on the shaft,one at each end. It was doing this before the rekit,so ive just biffed $52 down the shitter. Ill pull it apart and bench bleed it again. RRRR Thanks for the replies man.
  20. Heyas. I rekit my master,and still got ning the brakes.Looks to be bled cause you get fluid under pressure with air then no air,as a normal bleeding session,but still nothing at the pedal after.It drops to the floor when I undo the nipple,but still nothing. Also the valve between the booster and the intake groans as the pedal is pushed down,and then the pedals slightly slow to come back to normal height. Im fuckin stumped eh. Theres no leaks anywhere so ill be poked if i know where to go from here? any ideas lads? All i need is brakes and im off for a wof,after 3 yrs!
  21. cheers for that. Nah im in west AKl. Used to have a 280zx,had 7 of the fuckers at one stage,nice cars but ive done my dash with em,so its on to the s30's. I have it up on stands at the moment about to reseal the underneath and do the diff seals and shit. While im at it ill biff in new brakes and master cyl kit.............if i can find one. I might get back onto the moulds for the flares this weekend aswell,hard to find time with 2 kids under 2yrs. Also im on the look-out for some ITB's off the GTiR Pulsar...............or even some SU's...........ITB's may be a bit pricey at the moment for me.. If anyone is looking for a good Fairlady,ill be selling this one not long after its done.
  22. I saw that on TM,good score,exactly the smae as mine except for the L28e and nose. Soem pics will be great too. Yes im keeping it the original colour,or close.The white has black and yellow ochre,aswell as some emerald and ultra violet pearls in it,so will be fun to match,lol. I will be putting in the front screen tomorrow with some luck,wish me shitloads!!!
  23. well. Its been awhile since ive done an update. Finished putting a base on the car,now just getting ready to re-do the underneath,(underseal )and dynamat on the inside. Started fitting it up too,prick of a job when it wasnt me who stripped it,and i lost me friggen manual aswell...so its lotsa fun.

    you can turn alot of colours matt by adding talcum powder....yes you fucking can Give it a try,youd be surprized. The only other way I know is to spray it dry as fuck,with a fair bit of pressure.
