  1. That is a pretty sweet way of doing stuff. Sounds like it will work well
  2. a setup that I though about was turbo-SC-plenum. But infront of the SC having a wastegate to divert gas past SC once turbo spools too much
  3. That is some lush manifold building you done there!! Kudos
  4. holee shitballs that is sweet!!! Are you going to POR15 that or leave as is KK??
  5. Yea it fouled with the left side of the subframe. Even bashing it to half the pipe diameter it was still fouling, that was why i decided it would just be easier to make a new one. The old exhaust was 2.5" and this pipe is 2"
  6. what's with all the gripe?? It should still flow better than a single baffled exhaust. and I was keen to use a factory one (wich is mild steel, not cast) until I found out they cost $460 new. Hence wolf one was cheaper. (the flow quality if the woolf one is also not THAT great. about on par with factory by inspection)
  7. I have some old bends chilling around the place, however for time sake i just used mitre's. But as KY said, in all honesty I dont think it will make THAT much difference. Maybe upto 3 topend HP. The header cost $360 from wolf I believe it was. In regards to the paint, its duplicolour high heat ceramic shtuff, so is ment to be used on headers. However wolf painted there stuff black (as can be seen in smashed pipe pic) and I thought nothing of it. Turns out it's just regular paint and flaked of causing silver to flake off aswell. Is a mess now. Will prob never buy something from wolf again.
  8. Old header has been cracked for the last 4 months slowly getting worse. As it is at the moment So i decided to put a new one on. Got this from wolf mufflers 4 months ago. The bottom "leg" section was shit house. Had to bash it like this to try and get it to fit. And yet it still wouldn't fit. so i decided phuket I'll make a new one So I have been producing this over the past 3 days.
  9. Will make a meke umbrella stand, garden hose reel etc. also, thanks Jase, but going to have to decline.
  10. looking forward to see how this manifold turns out. looking good.
  11. am thinking sell in all honesty. I just dont trust getting wheels rewelded/ fucking around with them too much. anyone have any experience with metal surgeon? what is their quality like? looking at getting some of these. 15x8 at 0et
  12. tonights guide: what offsets dont fit on an MX5 offest: 10" et-57 so, how badass does this look on an mx5 you might think. not badass at all, Presenting: miata dirt racer i had a good laugh, feel free to yourself aswell. so yea.... pretty sweet update wouldnt you say? haha
  13. car looks tits dude. i dig them blue ones. I assume the red one is that one on Banzai's. Looks pretty sweet aswell.
  14. just did a measure up, so for random information heights are as follow: Front: 312mm Rear: 338mm Rails: 95mm
  15. Thats so lush. However, this topic has come up once or twice on forums before, and people seemed to approve that there would be a lack of torque for use in a car. Will be interesting to see how it does once it's running.
  16. so much louder now, uncool. haha, need to fix that. Yea, as matt said, it's a swagging machine, not an english wheel. would be lush if we owned one of those. Should get dad to make one. Although, I guess it would be easy enough to turn swage in E.W by jsut changing rollers and disconnecting belt drive.
  17. Cheers. I have perused every single page of all 3 of those threads, so much win and inspiration around the world.
  18. In all honesty, if I can get $800 for them ( what they are on TM for, then that will just about cover getting a new set from the states without having to mess about with changing the offset. Measure what I need first then order the wheels. When I designed the flares I placed wood underneath the rim and lowered the car down, so it had all the weight on it as if it would have been on the ground. I though I had a picture which I could use as a comparison, however I cant seem to find it. When the camber comes into play, I lose about 1" of distance between the fender and top of the rim. In regards to the flare bending in more than 1 direction, this is compensated for in the fact that the radii of the inner and outer are 1) different and 2) offset from one another. When you get these 2 factors in play it causes the flare to naturally bend downward or inward, depending on the amount of curve you give the outside. This gives you a flare like the one brad posted above. If that makes sense. This, is where I am at now. The novelty has worn off and Im starting to seriously reconsider. The car will head in 1 of 2 directions from now, both of which I am happy with. 1) the wheels don't sell - I will leave them as is, and create the car more as a cruiser, wider, more boso. 2) The wheels sell - I start planning, aiming at being more of a corner, trackable vehicle. 19. Thanks for that Zep, I think that idea will work.
  20. yea 1 tyre will work for fiiting, was just regards to Andrew's comment about rolling on the rims.
