  1. If it is to be a computer case won't you need a removable side anyway? How does computer get inside. Rotational moulding is what you want I still want to know the answer to this Valid question I suppose. The main housing will have an opening (no magic involved), however there will be cavities that go unused aswell, and those are the areas I do not want to cut open. Not actually making a cube, but it was the easiest example to get an answer for.
  2. Thanks heaps for suggestion boes. Has steered my in the right direction, and thanks to Google I now have heaps of information.
  3. I've got an idea for a computer case that I have been wanting to try for ages. Was going to make it from panel steel, but I think fibreglass/carbon may be easier to produce the shape in. The shape being some form of gundam-esque model. Will the resin not melt the polystyrene aswell?
  4. Hey there chaps. I'm interested in making a large single shape from fibreglass or the likes. Ideally I don't want to cut the outer skin in order to remove the mold. Is there any method of making fibreglass products in a similar manner to the lost wax casting method? where I can burn or melt the mold?
  5. Is it a sign of being on facebook too much when I wanted to "like" this post you just made?
  6. I imported some from ebay. ended up being like 220 all up for the fronts
  7. after some forum jumping it appears that the problem is either my slave or master cylinder leaking. Problem is I can't see a leak by any of the cylinders. Ahwell, shall replace both cylinders and see if it solves my problem
  8. Driving over a bump in a driveway tonight I heard the usual plethora of scrapes. However leaving said driveway I noticed my clutch didn't engage until nearly the end of the stroke. Advance 500m and I'm left at an intersection with no clutching ability. Stoped. Check fluid levels and I still have a full reservoir. So at this stage I'm thinking I must have hit the slave cylinder. Will inspect in the morning.
  9. The fuel tank must have rusted through the oil/fuel separator. That caused fuel to leak into the oil compartment and vice versa, making my fuel EXTREMELY oily ( about a 2:1 ratio ). Since this was not good for my oil life I decided to run premix instead. Got some premix going, went for a ride and by my surprise the top speed went up buy about 2kmh. HOWEVER, due to that hole described above the fuel leaked steadily into the oil cavity. No problem, since this could act like a reserve fuel tank. BIG PROBLEM occurred though. The oil cavity has a level indicator made from rubber and glass, come 30 years from new and this rubber is now quite hard and doesn't seal so well. It wasn't a big problem with the oil, since that was thick enough to not really leak out, however, the fuel now could easily escape and before long I had a constant drip that would empty my tank overnight. BIG problem, so I smashed the window into the tank ( couldn't pull it out ) and used some epoxy resin to make a cover. The result is shown below, doesn't leak and I'm pleased with the results.
  10. so updating this. Did another head shave and this time attempted to put some squish into it. Total shave is now 2.3mm Made a lot of improvement.
  11. Me, Matt and Michael are leaving the Tron at around 1 on Thurs. Seems like we could intercept you lot on the way down
  12. these are just figures I heard, but a full cage is around 2.5K, and a half cage is around 700. unsure about you, but 2.5K is about a years worth of savings for me, so it's a tad much.
  13. What the deal with authority card vs a cert for a cage? Can you have a full cage with an authority card and use it on the road, and thereby not needing a cert for it. Or do you need a cert to get the authority car? This is kinda what I'm envisioning. Half cage with two bars towards the top of the windshield and 2 bars to the fronts of the doors. Since full cages are only for people who earn millions/year I figured this would be a good compromise in strength. would this even get a homologation?
  14. lower the number plate and extend the yellow and white lights all the way across. Remove towbar chin spoiler would be awesome spacers and flares would be choice aswell
  15. Am happy with how it is right now. For now. need a new exhaust before I can functionally wind it down more.
  16. Nah, I can't break tradition with the speed of updates. also, am saving some coin and then deciding where to go next. Thinking duck-tail.
  17. brylcreem = best oil additive don't take my word for it If anything, atleast the new brake lines meant it got a well deserved flush and new fluid. I also rolled the guards more tonight. Guard Roller > Pipe anyday. Both pleased and disappointed with results. The rears pulled out rather nicely, and after a little hammer treatment to the inner guard there is now ALOT more room for tyre movement. The front however..... due to the fact the hubs turn and that the fenders are SUPER flexible the flare on them came out a bit, wonky, for lack of a better word. is alright though, if they looks like poos in the morning I can just buy new fenders.
  18. I have no issue with the spam. going to be putting in some fancy stainless steel brake lines tonight, that I had sitting about for the last year. Figured with the trackday coming up I might aswell.
  19. That diffuser was only a mock-up. I was mad keen on it, so emailed them. But they don't produce it.
  20. changed the oil today. I think 15000k's is too long between changes. oil was more like diesel sludge. anyway, over the next 4 weeks, I will change the oil twice to hopefully flush some debri out of it. picture of old vs new oil
  21. or crank some fallout3 music all the time?? makes road trips much more pleasant.
  22. I do actually dig that spoiler you have on there. are you still trying to sell this on TM?
  23. ^what he said. however, I do believe most people are curious and will try to find out what things do anyway.
