  1. do you mean rca? I was looking at ordering some of the t3 ones possibly
  2. also acquired some 14x7 +8 watanabes that will make an appearance after they have been painted
  3. This week I purchased a gx61 that ive had my eye on for the past year, it features coil overs,f series irs,w55, some 15x8 sportmaxx eyesores and a 1ggte with a BHG my theory is that it will pay for itself being that the price I purchased it for is what decent suspension and diff setup wouldve cost me. I have a second 1ggte that will be swapped into it in the coming weeks, if its a lemon it will be removed and the rx60s 2jz will be bolted in place.
  4. Sold them quite a while ago to another member with an 80s accord
  5. Made a start on the suspension this evening by grinding the spring perches off the spare strut casings/stub axles i have, will find some 50id steel pipe to weld on for the sleeves to seat on and buy some decent inserts and rcas.most likely will just roll the standard tophats with a locating piece tacked in
  6. Went for a 2.25" exhaust with two 2.25" mufflers as im not a fan of loud cars and i wanted to keep it semi stealth
  7. The guys at the hireshop looked at me a bit funny,it sucks when your only car with a towbar is the one you need to tow
  8. Missed the burnout competition but made it to toyota fest on saturday, all wiring completed by myself. Has exceeded my expectations on power an pretty happy with it. Next focus is to work on suspension and look at upgrading the diff as i broke an axle on saturday
  9. Have been working hard trying to get this running for helensville burnout competition on the 31st January. Mounted the alloy radiator, found a fan belt to delete ac but keep powersteering, purchased a new walbro external inline fuel pump and a coil and battery from zebra. Bought genuine toyota bellhousing to block bolts, timing belt cover bolts and exhaust manifold gaskets. Ive managed to use the 21r powersteering lines with the 2jzge pump by removing the banjo bolt and screwing in the flare type fitting (unsure of correct name). Most of the wiring is complete i just need to setup another two relays for fuel pump and injectors.pictures will be added when i figure out how to post off mobile
  10. cut the small section out and fed the plugs through to cabin, still need to seal up and bolt the rubber to firewall made a bracket for the ecu to sit where the aircon unit was scored a starter motor off the aristo at zebra and bolted that up today, grabbed the main power cable with it as well and bolted that up with stock alternator cable just need to solder ground wire with plug to existing loom have been trawling through the internet looking at all the writeups on 2jzge wiring hoping to achieve this myself.Looking like i just need to hook up switched power feeds to a few of these pins and buy a couple of relays once its all sorted i will put the glovebox and covers back in to keep it looking as tidy as possible
  11. Find falcon springs for rear, cut to desired height, measure up shocks to keep them captive, carefully shorten bumpstops so they look factory
  12. Seems to be something to do with opening\closing the rear doors with weight in the back that makes it dropped ive figured out
  13. It looks quite a bit tighter than it is, mine seems to sit pretty low, the sump is only about 2mm from swaybar
  14. the engine bay currently decided to start having a look at the wiring and plan where to put the ecu and where to bring loom through firewall, pulled out some of the aircon unit to make room for ecu in cabin will cut between these two holes where the water pipes came out as tidy as possible and bring loom and plugs through there shows the room i have to work with infront to fit fan and radiator
  15. And then i did some pulling Towed it home since the majority of the mechanical stuff that cranes etc is needed to do has been completed, hopefully things will move a bit faster with it sitting outside my bedroom window
  16. Purchased ARP flywheel bolts and a new rear crank seal today and installed seal, assembled flywheel and clutch and dropped the 2nd 2jzge into the car. Everything slotted in ok except for the rear exhaust manifold hitting steering box, i took the back manifold off and got engine onto mounts, Im pretty confident if I remove the top two studs from head i can get the manifold on and then screw studs back in. Flywheel bolts listed as 4age ones, i read conflicting arguments on internet that they were too short but screwed one in as far as it would go and measured remaining thread against flywheel and it was perfect. clutch/flywheel assembled before dropping engine in hopefully for the last time
  17. I'm interested after i sort out whitewalls and cut and polish
  18. for the disgustion //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/45287-jesses-1983-rx60/
