  8. aww thanks bro, so much clearer now that youve retyped exactly what i just said, cheers
  9. Yeah, I modified one peg at a time, what i should have done was cut both of and swapped the "cups" left to right, they only fold slightly forwards, Still pisses me off, and was thinking it could be a wof issue, so will have to fix i think Yeah brake lever is just hanging out in that photo
  10. thats looking good man, that rear tail section fits in pretty sweet. Ready for Gentlemans ride then?
  11. Shit this build is going slow! compaired to last time anyway. Ball is still rolling tho, I feel like im real dragging the chain and but Dannys dominating it ...............agian Got some prime-hole on my tank, Tanks to Chris other tank and bits are for chris's hog Put the new foot pegs on, had to modify the hangers, worked out all good, apart from one flaw that i fuct up on - keen motorcycles will spot Think they look oright, not sure if Im just steering at them and not totally all bout them or once its all done, mounts are black, and youll hardly notice them Lowered the rear and front abit more, the rear is at 60mm on the shock and front is 110 in this photo, Im think bang on 100mm will level out the tank and frame nicely and Im happy with that for swing arm levelness haha once i sit on it itll be sweet Head light brackets on, this headlight came with the bike, its not factory, i kinda like it but the bottom of the front surround is totally rusted out, so have to look out for a new one Top view of foot pegs, Dannys hog is looking pretty much finished....looking anyway. He peiced it together the other night and rode it After something like 3 weeks of wiring, cut extend remove and remount, the thing still fires up, with out catching on fire which is nice Ride that hog That is all
  12. Sweet photo. Id doubt youd catch that bagde, take it you mean with your pants or something, the kick start swings out far enough that shouldnt be a problem i would have thought anyway Its looking real good tho bro, i recon black rims would look cool, make the white walls stand out,
  13. BAD ARSE MAN! That tail light looks good, Cant wait to see the whole thing together How longs your saddle gonna take?
  14. Fingers uncrossed.... There big in person, front looks alot bigger than photos show aswel Bars make more sense now i recon Few other goodies aswel Non skid???!! we'll see about that! Danny came round and we played around with lowering the front end, Looks way better! lowered the tank a little aswel Done for now, have a good weekend kids Cheers
  15. He got it from an engineers in the UK, they build them to specs you send, but do alot of off the shelf/will fit BlaBla bike rear hoops aswel CHECK OUT MY PACKAGE!!!!! Ive been up in Napier since monday, got a txt from Danny on Tuesday saying come get your tyres slut, but had to wait till yesturday YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!! ANUS'S!!! I love that shit! Zurst tip is just mocked Super balloon! I know what your thinking, "JUST FIT THE FUCKING THINGS, DICK" Fingers crossed I can get them fitted today and another update this arvo of them fitted
  16. So bee awhile since the last update, shits on the go slow with us both being on electric at the moment Danny has done his frame mod, which looks fucking sweet!! The factory frame looks as bent as a gay dudes slong, Now looks level side on with the up sweep rear tail section Electric poohar water troff is all done and installed now, and the wiring is looking pretty neat considering how much is stuffed into that tray New throttle So I havent been doing a whole heap, just remounting eletric magic boxes... Factory New mounts in, just need one more for the flasher, then ill get onto getting a small battery and make a mount for that, being 6v should be able to get a small one no worries hopefully i can make the battrey sit high enough up that you wont be able to see it side on Pretty happy with it, tried to make it look nice and clean also not 100% sure how ill be mounting the seat so wanted to be able to remove the electrics from the bottom aswel as the top Also finally came to a decision on tires, after going back a forth with liking then not liking the tires on the Holiday Customs bike im building it to, Ive decided that i hated the front tire but liked the rear So im just gona go matching front and rear, 16-500 rear and a 18-400 front http://www.cokertire.com/500-16-firestone-ans-motorcycle.html# There on there way now, so hopefully be here soon, Dannys only took acouple of weeks which i thought was pretty good, Fingers crossed Cheers
  17. Sweet so managed to get abit done today during smokos and lunch break Put a coat of Black Zinc just for now while i mod the frame and weld up new tabs for shit, just wanted something on it will it was bare hence the paint jobs abit rough Swing arm wasnt blasted, will just paint strip it i think, but for now its just degreased and cleaned up You can see the state that the frame is in, most of it just looks like this, textured paint look, which should be sweet once its primed and painted properly This shits abit different tho, might have to weld fill this Degreased the wheels, the rear was covered in grease....... ...Came up really good! this is with no polishing, just cleaning aswel. and through the motor in aswel Its coming along, i guess, fell like im not really getting anywhere and just going in circles, but now I just need to sort tires for ride height, while im waiting on them i can sort out tabs for the electrics and little shit that will slow me down further along Cheers
  18. Cleaned up my tank the other day, chipped off all the need-it that was init, and tig welded it up, ground up the welds this morning and will need another pass with the welder but its looking awhole lot nicer Got the frame back and hacked the rear off just roughly for now and any tabs that i didnt need, the frame is really pitted, worse than what i first throught, but should be able to clean it up nice Its going to be good old black anyway, which should hide the worst of it. need to clean up the tabs i cut off, then a quick coat of primer and then i can do another mock up for setting ride height and the rear frame hop, need to get some tires sorted aswel Cheers
  19. Got a few more photos of where Dannys up to. Mainly just been get a few goodies in for overseas One of which being this super sweet little electronic speedo. Its SO nicely made and looks the shit, tiny as hell WITH built in warning lights!............nice An LED surply that jaycar would be stoked with, these were intended for dash warning lights, but im sure there will be a use for them. This is super sweet, not too sure where he got it, but great idea for an air cooled motor in traffic, just replaces the oil cap Frame cut begins so thats pretty much where Dannys at, at the moe I gave the sand blasters a call today, and my frame was ready, wonder for how long it was sitting there, anyway $150 for that, which isnt bad, mate paid $180 at the same place I offered cash and that got him pretty hard. But now thats back i can start on the frame, Ive tig welded up a few holes in the fuel tank and stripped all the crap off it back to bare steel. will update that tomorrow maybe. Cheers
  20. Oright so got some photos of dannys bike, Hes got his tires fitted, Firestone Deluxe Champion 400-19 front and 450-18 rear, I think. Small head light and low rise bars He's swapped the fork legs around so that the caliper is leading just for that old bike look New mufflers on aswel Modern bike electric poohar will all be tucked away out of site Fitted a GN250 tank, this one was just for mock-up but has just got a brand new one for $80! Thats BRAND NEW, gotta love GN shit, so many learners riding them/crashing them making that shit cheaper Ill get some nicer photos on my camera at some stage Dannys abit further along and has started cutting up the frame, will get some more pics hopefully tonight Im still waiting for a call form the sand blasters, might have to give them a call, once thats back i can do another mock up then start to cut and weld the rear hoop up Cheers
  21. Ready for blaters, not the normal way to do a build, but the frame was covered in shit so just wanted to start fresh Started clean the motor and a few other parts while the frames away at the sand blasters sweet paint job bro Normally im all for black motors but this one i want silver, not polished tho That stuff he sprayed on the tank got on everything!! Ill get some photos of dannys bike tonight and update his build next week cheers
  22. ^ yeah im enjoying your build thread, will be good when we have all these bikes finished, will have to T-up a ride. Right so, Im not a fan of mag wheels, the bobber/ Kawasaki wheels im living with, there not toooo bad as far as mags go. But these Suzuki mags are yuck as fuck! Over the years weve become really good mates with the guys at Boyle Kawasaki in wellington, they have help us out a shit tonne, and are always will to help us out. So when i told the guys what i was wanting to build and said i needed some wire wheels, Regan at Boyles got real into the idea as he has a similar idea for a build of his as well, but instead of just doing a swap for wire wheels with disc he hooked me up with an early GN250 with drum brake front and rear. One crashed GN250 I did some measuring a realised that the plan of just swapping the fork lowers over wasnt going to work as the fork tubes were smaller on the 250 So as he said, whats better than one dragon?..............Two dragons! haha This one had straight forks and true rims, but misses a few bits that the other one had Some more messuring and it was looking good for a complete front end swap, forks streerer everything another good thing about the GN250 forks is they are already abit shorter, which will help with lowering as the 400 forks were so long i was worried they wouldnt lower nicely Fronts swapped, I didnt want the gn250s but they didnt want them not rolling hence the total swap BAM! Stoked!
