Well if you want to do it on the cheap modify a L300 van pedal box or similar would do the trick. Otherwise Wilwood/Titon ones will set you back around 400-500 I think.

Yep keen as, crown and commer, DX is a bit ruff for outings at the moment.

Got all suspension parts now except adjustable LCA's * Bilsiten front shocks valved for 7-8Kg/mm spring case & stoke shortened. * Bilsten rear shocks valved for 5.6kg/mm * 7Kg/mm springs for front got a set of 8's as well * 5.6kg/mm springs for rear * Adjustable whiteline heavy duty sway bars front and rear. * Adj platforms for front and rear. Will take a group shot of the goodness later. Got the new upper link mounts and spring mounts in Finshed off the diff mounts. Comparison of standard DX axles to Hilux Got adapters to mount 5x114.3 rims and ST205 315mm discs Fills up a 17" rim Roll cage, big up's to Future Performance!!! All TIG welded so nice..... Tied into A pillar Tied into front strut towers

Well no work on the 4AGE DX not enough time... Went to racelign and sorted out remaining suspension bits now I am poor.... Getting Bilstein shocks shortened for my ride height and valved for new spring rate... Cut some nice holes in the body, damn passengers putting constraints on good upper link design not a problem for me Modelled up the piece to go in the hole this will allow me to adjust the top arms to get angles correct at desired ride height. And this is the model for the lower link mounts on the diff. Have sent the files to the laser cutter so hopefully will have that by the weekend so I can mount all of the rear end. I will model the complete suspension and post pics once I get time...

Tunnel done Relocated handbrake about 150mm back Seam welded complete body and strengthened susp mounting points. Sand blasted boot, cabin and engine bay. Ive been using the rona as a tow car, towed our paddock cars to scrap on big tandem trailer the audi was heavy the rona hasnt quite been the same since... Plans this weekend are: * Send off specs for alloy spacers for front wheel/brakes * Order RCA's and susp bits and LSD rebuild kit from US. * Cut body and relocate top two links for diff so they are flat at ride height. * Create new spring towers in rear for 65mm springs. * Dummy mount diff * Create templates for profile cutter for diff Might start work on the 4AGTE as well if I run out of things on race car. * Remove 2 piece AE86 driveshaft to get replaced with new 1 piece. * Remove diff head and get it sorted so no whine/heat * Remove engine[/img]

Its been a hot couple of day in overalls but firewall and tunnel are in. Just got one little section to go as you can see. So this week hopefully: * Get last section folded for tunnel. * Talk with cage builder and sort out what prep I need to do. * Get my bilstein inserts for front shortened * Get some new JZA70 rear discs and machine center to fit over hilux spigot. Already done this once but machinist give it a chamfer causing it to not locate correctly next time this wont happen. * Machine front hubs and ST205 celica discs and dummy fit rims. Think that should get me to the weekend. Plan to seam weld next weekend and do cage prep.

Progress... DX is now mounted on rotisserie Got the firewall and tunnel back from sheetmetal place so welding that in tomorrow. Then its seam welding and cage prep...

Slow progress on the race DX... Measured up new firewall and trans tunnel, it is getting folded/pressed this week. Then time to get the damn cage in!

So yeah got most things done on the 4AGE DX, over that for the mo. Got a new member of the family. Eventually going to be my tow car but for the mo I will just drive it. I have got a 1UZFE which I am going to either quad or twin turbo, manual of course R154, hilux rear want ~500 at the wheels but yeah this will be later on! have to finish the 3S DX for April. Looking for some TE71 disc handbrake cables as well... anyone?

Ok so didnt get everything on the list done. Done so far: * Diff is in * Rear sway in * Drive shaft in * Gbox in, needed to make a xmember tho * TE71 pedal box in * Head is off. Discovered: * AE86 handbrake cables fit but the inner is too short? so hopefully TE71 ones will work. * My bellhousing is carina not 86 * My starter motor doesnt fit new g/box the starter has a extra snout on the end so it wont go the whole way in bugger. * TE71 pedal box mounts for steering col are too far to the right. Need to sort: * Starter motor that fits * Handbrake cables that are long enough. * Make adapter to move steering col back into center * Speedo drive gear so speedo is accurate again. * Cleaning the sludge off my head damn its yuk. Hopefully one more weekend and it will be all go again.

So big weekend ahead! Plans: * AE86 Rear end * Fit rear sway bar * LSD Diff head with ring now changed over to 4.778 * New brake pads all round * TE71 pedal box * Carina T50 g/box * AE86 two d/shaft * New clutch / slave / master * TRD 0.8mm head gasket * New fluids in everything * New filters * Fix water leak (I suck at braising) * Reduce size of bypass hose on thermo hopefully make my heater warmer for those cold h->ak trips. * Fit gay pod filter * Modify ECU a bit more * New spark plugs / custom lead set. * Fix an oil leak * Paint some rusty bits. * Fix chain on my fully * Go riding at castle rock There is prolly more but yeah.... So far I have: * Remove rear end * Removed K50 g/box * Removed head * Prep'd block Still two days to go should be enough time

Nearly got all the pieces of the puzzle. Finally got an LSD! Sorted a 4.778 diff so hopefully that will allow me to grab another gear around taupo. Here are the new ratios The res is bad on the image but yeah now 110km/h in 5th will be 4000rpm I wish close ratio gear sets where cheap... Another score was this A TOM's modified ECU for my 3S hopefully it is what I think it is as then I will have a fully programable ECU for the BEAMS and still have cam phasing control [/img] Cant wait to next weekend
