  1. Appreciating classic! one barely sees any on the road now, let alone a twintub one!...
  2. Bugger - I've just had a feed of sausages on the bbq. But hey- you'll have coffee making facilities then! Cool.
  3. Sun always shines hard on the 'mullets of the 'wera ' 'tis why they are so golden and happy and also why all the falcons have faded rear seats.
  4. So 10am at Dylans? Will- do you wanna m/bike there and then you can play musical car seats out with us. See if we can rope @Slacker_Sam. to bring along his latest toy- a mighty twinturb FTO with panels in grey primer.
  5. Yep- 4 legs added to the box build and simple drive/tow truck out from under
  6. If you want I can let you have a drive of the mighty Milly- you can sample a PFLBBM4D !
  7. @Willdat? you keen on meeting at Dylans too? And @Slacker_Sam. we could come by yours on the way if yo keen? Not sure what time- say aim for 10am at Dylans?
  8. I'm not sure either. Listen for a mx5/uno bouncing off its limiter and follow the sound? Should we convoy out? Meet at your place?
  9. Given the length of your cab back from the pivot point you'll need to lift the floor clear by quite some height. With a fully kitted out house on the back it'll be a fair chunk of weight to lift eh. The ones with a hinged up 'luton' section above the cab that Mof talks of- yeah I have seen them too and a friend around the corner from us had started building his like that on his twin steer Hino. But again- if one builds a decent sized bedroom up there you need to allow for a fair old bit of weight to hinge and lift.
  10. Yeah we wont be in anything special either- just Milly Micra. Or Minky. But not Molly.
  11. Could be pretty easy to get down to that if its just a wof'd hack club car without a cage for grass track racing.
  12. Poverty spec micra is about 800 kg. I am guessing that adding turbos to little engines pops you up into a different catagory?
  13. well at least many options that don't have some sort of absurd scene tax added. Hence Chevettes. But even they seem to be rare and going up in value now. I guess also some fiats/some other boxy lada like creatures/skodas.
  14. If I build a race car one day it would probably be Chevette/Gemini based. This dude is selling some nice bits in one lot... https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/specialist-cars/other/listing/3124554302?bof=h6ncXq1S
  15. Yeah I'd be super keen to build a cheap as race car (probably a Chevette/something small) and have a go. I always wonder why some of the rich buggers about Nelson/upper south don't throw a bit of money into it. It would be an asset to the Tasman region I think. The plans they have mooted are more than just a race track- mtb tracks too and designed to cater to a family day out.
  16. Oh cool. Yeah I fancy going along for a look. There's a ford you have to drive through to get into the park? I wonder if its too much for my Imp (especially with all the rain we've had) Might take a Micra if that's the case.
