  1. it should be bolted to the head just between 2nd and 3rd inlet ports
  2. does anyone know a carb that is easy to fit a 1300 escort . The one on the car is old and yuck. If you do know of anything please give me year make and anyother tips, so i can fix the dam thing
  3. lucky for me the mechanic doing the wof let me pull it all down for him in front of him there was tiny tiny tiny little bit of rust particals in there so we cleaned it out put a few tiny pin dents all around the bearing housing and a verl little locktite to just help hold it in and all is alot better and he passed the wof and pretty much did it al for free i was thinking along the whole keyed sleve in the housing thou
  4. its a rear one that gets pressed onto axle and i have already replaced it but its still got movement
  5. i have just replaced a rear wheel bearing on my gto but still have play, i am assuming that the housing that the bearing sits in has become oversized. has anyone heard of this before? is there an easy way to fix this? i do have another diff housing but dont really wanna do the whole change over thing if i can avoid it.
  6. if its the same as the 63 take out the balance shaft on the left of the crank put a frost plug over the hole, as for the one on the back of the oil pump if you cant get a kit for a good price just cut it and put a bolt up it ,it does work good have done it to a 63 my self
  7. or buy a dirty old hyundi they run the mitsi 2l and gearbox just badged diff prob cheaper than an old sigma lol
  8. if your real lucky you can find a vr4 twin cam turbo that still has the rwd mounts and bolt holes tapped into the block but they are hard to find
  9. the only motors that will fit is a 4g54 4g56 or a wide block 4g63 norm a turbo mitsi 2l they all have the slightly wider block at the bell housing but all the misti have the same engine mouts so you either have to chane the box or find one of the for mentioned engines

  11. you pob find its because you have a turbo gearbox not a norm sigma one
  12. i have a gto as well the reason it does it is prob because you have a bit of dirt stopping the needle from seating properly if your still running them just pull them doen and clean them and replace your fuel filters if you running orig pump there is a filter behind the pump cover in the boot
  13. my gto runs around 85 norm running when im giving it a good cane its running about 100. if your really worried find someone with a laser temp gun and check you got no hot or cold spots
  14. all the n/a 32 52 63 use the same gear box if you wanna use a turbo then you use a gear box out of a starion or a 54 which is the 2.6 engine from a ute they are the same as the 2.4 injeted in the vans if you waana non turb inj motor they match up to a turbo gear box as well
